The maiden voyage for Jim Bernheisel's Fall Clash Series for Super Late Models came to a conclusion on a triumphant note Saturday at Potomac Speedway, as Chalk Hill, Pennsylvania’s Mason Ziegler rolled to his second series win of the season in the Darryl Hills Memorial, collecting a $10,000 to win payday, as well as an additional 10 grand for taking the title. Starting second, Ziegler grabbed the lead from the outset from polesitter Gregg Satterlee, surviving numerous cautions early in the event, then a late race charge from Satterlee to secure the victory in the 50-lap event, and the eventual Fall Clash title.
“Our series started off great with the win at Bedford, stated Ziegler. Then Trever Feathers got on a roll and started closing the gap in points. It’s great to come to a track we weren’t very familiar with and secure the title with the win.” Satterlee, fresh of the $8,000 win Friday at Georgetown, rolled home second, with Feathers, a 4-time winner on the series, along with Tyler Bare, and Kenny Moreland completing the top five.
Rounding out the top ten were Bryan Bernheisel, Jeremy Pilkerton, JT Spence, Kyle Lear, and Justin Weaver. Ziegler was also the top qualifier for the night, with Satterlee winning the Dash, while heats for the 26 cars on hand went to Trevor Collins, Kyle Hardy, and Justin Weaver.
Titles were also up for grabs in the Street Stock Division with points leader Wyatt Hanson securing his 4th win of the season, along with the title for 2025. Points runner-up Dylan Alton chased Hanson to the stripe, with Greg Morgan, Mason Hanson, and Scotty Nelson completing the top five. Heats went to Hanson and Alton.
Justin Bottorf claimed his 3rd win of the season in the 15-lap finale for the SCDRA Roadster division. John Healy rode home second, followed by 2025 champion Stephen Suite, Cody Bottorf, and Richard Martin. Heats went to Justin Bottorf and Allen Griffith. Johnny Oliver claimed the 15 lap Vintage car event, topping Gerald Shannon, Andrew Faein, and Tony Catlett.
