One of the bigger jobs we’ve had in the shop recently — a transmission replacement on this Ford box truck.

Jobs like this are a good reminder that we aren’t limited to everyday cars and pickups. We work on commercial vehicles and fleet vehicles too, including the bigger repairs that keep them off the road.

We had plenty going on in the shop last week, but this was one worth showing — an evaporator core replacement on a Nissan van.

This one took some serious teardown. The dash had to come out so we could get into the HVAC system and access the evaporator core. Once we got everything apart, you can see just how much dirt and debris had built up in there.

The old evaporator core came out, the new one went in, and then everything had to be carefully put back together.

Some repairs are a lot more involved than they look from the outside. This was definitely one of them.

This F-150 came in for an oil change. We checked the air filter while it was here, and it was definitely time for a new one!

Customer came in with an overheating concern.

Went through the entire cooling system and checked the fans, thermostat, water pump, and everything else that could've caused it.

Ended up being something simple—a bad coolant reservoir cap that wasn't holding pressure.

Replaced the cap, pressure tested the system, and verified everything is working like it should.

Don't ignore an overheating vehicle. Catching it early can save you from a much bigger repair later.

After bringing the truck back to life and getting everything dialed in to make it roadworthy, the customer decided to take it a step further and have it lowered.

For a stock truck, it turned out pretty clean! simple, but it definitely looks good.
