A couple photos of a recent project for a customer. The car was purchased and dropped at my shop before it went to the new owner. It is a Jetpack car with airflow, 2.1 engine. Along with it came a fully rebuilt engine that supposedly has some "good stuff" in it and was bolted to a freshly rebuilt 5 spd. The pictures show it was converted to be a turbo car, T5 components by www.modernclassicsaab.com. Fuel system was completely gone through due what happens when the years pass with old fuel in the tank. I enjoy doing this type of work when updates such as these can be done to bring a car back into service.

Once again another enjoyable day at America's Transportation Experience / AACA Museum, Inc. Today I helped to unload a new donation to our museum and also had the chance to take it for a short spin. I think that the last time that I drove a ‘57 Ford was in ‘62 when I was 16 years old. This 1957 Ford is a Skyliner, the model with the retractable hardtop. Beautiful car.

This was our project today at America's Transportation Experience / AACA Museum, Inc. It is a 1907 International Harvester Highwheeler that if I was told correctly has not ran since 2003. We didn’t get it going today but we figured out a few things regarding fuel and ignition so I think next week we will be able to take it for a spin. It’s so enjoyable working on these old rigs. I find myself after working in the automotive repair industry for so many years and yet always working on “modern transportation “ just wondering what went through the inventive minds in the earliest years of motorized transportation.

Here we are retrieving another Saab, this one from out of the woods where it looks like it has been for quite awhile. Seems to be a solid care although it needs a lot of help. This is not the first time that I have helped Ehren Webber pull one out of the woods, he finds them in the strangest places. He did tell me that the beautiful 99 that his dad built came from one of these spots so it goes to show that sometimes the result is well worth the effort.

I received an order today with some great parts from modernclassicsaab.com and I am looking forward to not having to use the rubber grommets in the intake manifold anymore. The really cool thing that Jordan Pagano did though was personalize the plug for the shipping tube. That is first rate.😎

Really nice '90 SPG will be going back to its owner on Monday for him to enjoy. The transmission was rebuilt, a new fuel pump, the headliner was replaced, replaced stripped/broken gear in the sunroof motor, and a few other minor things. It only has 104K on it and hasn't been driven much since 2015, but it is roadworthy now for the owner now.

It seems like it is my turn to get to do some work on a couple of Saab cars that are coming out of 20+ years of garage storage to be brought back to road-worthy condition. The first was an '87 900T with around 70k on it with leather just like new and no rust. All it is getting is a few improvements, such as T5 conversion from www.modernclassicsaab.com.
The second car is a '93 9000 Aero with around 90k on it. It has been garaged during its time off the road and I do not think that it will require much to have it road-worthy again.
It is very enjoyable to get to work on quality pieces from another era of automobiles
