We are just one week away from our National Night Out event at Petersen Park. The event will be from 5pm-8pm at Petersen Park (by the softball fields) on Tuesday, August 9th.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

There will be free food, a police k9 presentation, a police motorcycle presentation, face painters (no charge), summer games (hulu hoops, kick balls, bubbles, a bounce house, air archery) LifeNet's emergency helicopter is scheduled to land at the event some time after 6:30pm (if available). We hope to see you there!

This event is being co-hosted by the McHenry County Sheriff's Office, McHenry County Conservation District, Johnsburg Police Department and McHenry Township Fire Protection District.
