Freightliner earning it's keep today moving 2 excavators for a guy in Alabama from North Baltimore to York till potatoes pick back up. Was a good day. Can't catch a brake in a clean truck yet. All started shortly out of high school 30 years ago moving equipment and finally revolved back around to it tinkering with our own junk.

Very rare do we do any outside work but swapped a cutoff job that expanded a little for another truck with a series 60. Win for both sides. Yes a foot or two wouldn't of hurt but was all the cutoff had and was made to fit the original driveshaft. In and out. Back to Bob and Ross to finish. It was hauled in and took a good week to drive out and take a little stroll around the farm.

Random pictures. Don't seem to be a day ain't a truck setting by the shop. Poor freightliner gotta take the work day up north. Rough on old trucks. Ol Marmon one neat ol truck. Hopefully have pony motor moved around on lowboy and take the beating at Penn dot on the L shortly. Keep us in mind for any lowboy hauling. Well whatever is legal loads till we get all the s**t sorted through yet. Don't want to have it just for our stuff like it to support the payment.

I did say no more trucks sooooo. Let's finish the year off good. Should be all taken care of and here for the start of the new year. Kicked this idea around for way too long now. Mainly for here but as usual a little more paperwork and 💰 for the state of course and see what needs set up to order permits but we're gonna offer ag and industrial hauling eventually. Probably more local than long distance and gotta figure out hourly or milage or somewhere in between. Probably start out whatever FITS on the deck. Just in time for all your purchases at Hoovers. Call or message. Unfortunately I don't want part of your falling apart shed or your truck setting along 80 that won't run or anything super sized. Plenty of good people for that.

Just about ready to put another one back on the road after a 20 year relax for it. Old iron just wants to keep going. Stripped to just the cab and put back together from 3. Grill surround and some windshields yet. As usual never a paint job the rustic fits here just fine. Get it lettered up next week and make the tough decision to park the cabover we have fun in or take the beating to put plates in it and use both. Thanks to John C Jr Bender and Gregg Krick for the truck we didn't think we needed Rodney Spickler and Preston for the polishing and Stephen Cochran for the continued help working on them especially coming apart doing all the s**t work underneath in the oily mess. 😂. Such a bitching though. Probably the last one as my helper has a good girlfriend now. Time to go back over some and just play with them. It's been a good run to total 13 saved here.

Well today we can add another big thank you to the controller of fate over my lifetime. Perfect reason to add battery switches to everything. Connors A was setting in the shop for a front axle swap not ran for 2 days. Prior to that was just moved from its spot in the shed. We were in and out all day but standing 4 feet away thinking what we were doing next a main cab power wire shorted out and went up in flames. I stood there blowing on it while Connor unhooked the batteries. We all looked at each other like what just happened. Had it been any other minute through the day, week or month as fast as it escalated it would have been sianara to everything. Moral of the story everything old needs a battery switch.

Digging deep to the back of the shed to dust one off today.

Few fall harvest drops. The old binders and Marmon pretty much carrying things. It's not much to any daily driver truck or even the serious truckers but to stick 3-350 miles locally a day on old fence row finds I'll be happy about that any time. 🥂 To old iron and good company.

If I had a dollar every time I joked let's go to the lathe or mill I'd be rich. Not no more. Today's haul. When ya run old trucks a mill, lathe and a ton of tooling is priceless. No not gonna start a community machine shop we don't know enough about them but already save us 200$ for a fan spacer. So nice. Thanks to all the help getting it out and loading it up

Valuable lesson for the day. Physically open the fuel cap and look in do not rely on the gauge. Stupid international puts the sending unit right at the fill. Ran at 3/4 half the day 😂. Hung up on the chain for the fill cap. Should of known dang this getting excellent fuel milage. Couldn't of happened to a nicer guy Stephen Cochran phone call was hey I'm out of fuel. No your not the freaking gauge was at 3/4 when I swapped you. Ok your out of fuel. Looked good setting a long the road though on 322.
