May we never forgetβ¦..
There are moments in history that stop time.
September 11, 2001, was one of those moments.
In a single day, our nation witnessed profound loss, unimaginable sorrow, and extraordinary courage. We watched as ordinary people became heroes, as first responders sacrificed everything for strangers, and as a grieving nation found strength in standing together.
Twenty-five years later, we still remember.
We remember the lives that were taken too soon.
We remember the families whose hearts carry the weight of that day.
We remember the firefighters, law enforcement officers, emergency personnel, and countless brave souls who ran toward danger so others could find safety.
And we remember the spirit of unity that rose from the ashes. A reminder that even in humanity's darkest hours, light can still be found.
As we reflect today, we place our hope in the One who remains constant through every tragedy, every trial, and every season of grief.
"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
Psalm 46:1
May we honor the memory of those we lost not only with remembrance, but with gratitude, compassion, courage, and faith.
Today, the Town of McBee pauses in reflection. We pray for peace, give thanks for the heroes among us, and stand united in the enduring truth that love is stronger than hate, hope is stronger than fear, and God is faithful through it all.
