This 1985 chevy k10 with a blueprint 383 came in running rough and blowing oil out of the valve covers. After doing some inspection it had low compression on a few cylinders. Turns out it had 2 busted pistons! We tore it down and replaced the hypereutectic pistons with a set of D.S.S racing forged pistons and rings. While we had it apart we upgraded the camshaft with a Howard’s rattler cam and a degreeable timing set! We also swapped out the chrome valve covers for a set of finned aluminum valve covers. We finished off this project with getting the factory a/c charged and working and a quick wipe down with some quick detailer! Looking for running video in the comments.
Cam specs: 1.6 ration rockers
Intake 560 lift 280 duration
Exhaust 565 lift 288 duration
109 lobe separation

We went on a service call to get this 1985 Silverado back going after it had been sitting for quite some time and was parked for a noise coming from the engine. After doing some inspecting we figured out it was the water pump bearing had gave out. It got a new water pump, power steering belts and a new alternator and she was good to go!

Traded for this 1996 jeep Cherokee that ended up being a lemon at first, but after doing some digging and sorting we got it all worked out and back in tip top shape! It got a list of new parts: ecm, water pump, thermostat, o2 sensor, o2 sensor wiring harness, fuel filter, fuel hose, exhaust/intake manifold gasket, crank sensor, distributor pickup, and sorted through some of the mess of wiring. Now it’s found a new home and the new owner loves it!

The 1979 f250 build has started! Everything new from ground up! Also tore the engine down to be sent off to be checked, bored and decked. It’ll be getting new pistons, aluminum heads, Howard’s roller cam, high rise intake and long tube headers. Keep an eye out for updates!
