One of my goals for 2026 was to create more. I enjoy watercolor painting but I don’t have time for a large painting every day. So I saw an idea to paint a mini picture a day. This has been so fun! This is some of my January mini paintings and a few of my favorites I painted.

Pears at the Mason County Farmers Market on Saturday! We will have Honeysweet pears and Yoinashi Asian pears. The Market is located in the parking lot of Maysville Community College from 9am to 1pm. See you there!

We made lacto fermented salsa today with some extra produce. Using a food processor made salsa making a quick and easy process that took less than ten minutes. The first time I made lacto fermented salsa and the instructions said to leave the jar of salsa out of the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days until it fermented went against everything I was taught about food safety. I worried the salsa would just mold and be disgusting but I was wrong. The salsa was delicious! I hope to make a lot more lacto fermented salsa this year to enjoy it’s delicious flavor and the health benefits.
