Lifters, camshaft, and head gaskets on a 5.4 Challenger. I can't stress enough . . . if you own a Dodge, Chrysler, or Jeep and you hear a ticking, don't ignore it. The damage only gets worse.

Rocker arms and camshafts on a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Common problem on the 3.6 liter. If you're hearing a conspicuous ticking noise and you own a Dodge or Jeep, don't ignore it. The tick is usually a bad roller bearing. Left unaddressed, it eventually destroys the camshaft.
