Mattapoisett Yacht Sales Tad has enjoyed a lifelong passion for the water. Wanting to remain close to the shore, he moved with his family to Mattapoisett more than 20 years ago.

Growing up summering in South Dartmouth, he grew up sailing on Buzzards Bay in Widgeons, Beetle Cats and Boston Whalers. With a background in business and engineering, Tad spent more than 18 years in manufacturing while maintaining his love for boats. He moved on to a prominent boat brokerage firm in Portsmouth, RI where he spent many years helping his clients to find the perfect boat to suit their needs. Tad settled into a career in finance, however his love of all things marine related has remained as strong as ever. He has personally owned and previewed hundreds of boats, and continues to learn and explore anything new to hit the market. For those of you that are familiar with Mattapoisett Boatyard, or have spent any time in the harbor, undoubtedly you have seen Tad driving the launch. In his spare time Tad and his family enjoy exploring Buzzards Bay, the Elizabeth Islands and Martha’s Vineyard on the family boat "Runaround." ​​​​​​​
