Well Sunday was quite the day for me. First, installed a THINKWARE Dash Cam U1000 Plus in a 2021 Toyota Rav4. This job was replacing a dash cam that had failed. Really glad it did too, and not because I had to put a new dash cam in for this customer. Because when I removed the old camera, I found that the previous install was done the wrong way and both the power and rear camera wires were tucked in and around the airbag. There are a number of things that can happen in an accident if there is anything in the way of an airback deployment, and none of them are good.
Next up, two vehicles for one customer. A 2021 Kia Seltos and a 2023 Hyundai Tucson got shiny new front and rear dash cams installed and all set up to record anything they might come across on their daily drives.

Installed a THINKWARE Dash Cam Q200 in this 2019 Honda Insight. Yep, installing a dash cam in a hybrid is just like a regular i eternal combustion engine car. There are some different setting within Thinkware cameras though for the hybrid vehicles.

Today was this 2021 Mazda 3 getting a Viofo front and rear dash cam. The trick to these new Mazdas is that the interior fuse block does not have switched power. This leaves you with really two options that do not require penetrating the interior/exterior barrier.
The simplest option is an OBDII power cable. The content of these though is that the camera does not go into a true parking mode. It stays powered for a defined amount of time, then powers off completely. The second option is splicing into a switched power source in the cars OEM wiring. This will allow the camera to utilize its parking monitoring as meant.
THINKWARE Dash Cam OBDII power wiring paired with a Thinkware dash cam will provide the proper switched power, allowing the true utilization of the camera's parking monitoring.

How about this front and rear dash cam installed in a 2017 Toyota Highlander. Another kind of unique Toyota install due to the rear window that can open. This required a mount bracket that attached to the tailgate upper trim so the rear window can open without disturbing the rear camera mounting.

Installed a front and rear dash cam in this 2022 Mercedes Benz GLE350. Mercedes Benz puts the interior fuse panel back in the cargo area, so these require extra wiring to be run to provide power to the front camera. But when these are done right, youe would never know that the extra wiring has to be run.
Also installed a backup battery in 2025 Porsche Cayanne that I had installed Blackvue DR970X-2CH LTE system into previously. The owner ended up decidi g to swap out the DR970X-2CH for an Elite10 4K system. This actually required rewiring everything except the rear camera wire.

Here is a THINKWARE Dash Cam U1000 Plus install in a 2017 Mercedes Benz GLS 450. The install turned out great. Though there is extra wiring needed on these to get back to the fuse panel under the rear seat to find a switchable power source.

Maybe you want to get a dash cam installed as well. I have some Thinkware Q200 systems in stock right now. I can also get other Thinkware dash cams.

Today's installed were a THINKWARE Dash Cam Q200 in a 2021 Kia Seltos and an ARC into a 2026 Nissan Rogue. Both installs turned out fantastic and these folks can now record anything that may happen out on the road.

Great week leading up to Thanksgiving. Installed an integrated dash cam into a 2025 Audi Q6 etron. Decent install that utilized a Y cable to take power from the rain sensor. Only problem is that the interface between the OEM cover and the aftermarket dash cam housing is not perfect.
Then put a THINKWARE Dash Cam Q200 into a 2017 Nissan Murano and an ARC into a 2025 Lexus E350 for the same customer. They were very unhappy with the Lexus installed dash cam.
Another Q200 installed into a 2024 Hyundai Tucson. I love installing dash cams into Hyundai's. They always have spare fuse slots that can be used for both constant and switched power.
Finished the week off with a new ARC 700 install into a 2023 Subaru Forester. Owner decided to upgrade from a QA100 Elite.

Installed a THINKWARE Dash Cam Q200 in a 2025 Toyota Tundra. Interesting install due to the entire rear window rolls down. Had to use a special letter metal clip that goes between the headliner and the roof ofvthe truck to provide a spot for the rear camera to mount. Sorry, no pictures.

Next, installed a Thinkware Q200 in a 2025 Ford Maverick Hybrid. Ford loves to use the Micro3 fuses, so had to use a Micro3 fuse tap on this one. Installed turned out great though.

Finally, I stalled a Mangould OEM style front and rear dash cam in a 2025 Audi Q6 etron. Normally I don't mess with ED'S, but this dash cam s powered using the rain sensor and a Y adapter right at the rearview mirror. This is a pretty tough install and not really happy with the way the OEM cover and the aftermarket dash cam attach together. The rest of the install, though difficult turned out great.

I do currently have a Thinkware ARC dash cam system in inventory and ready to go. The dash cam is on sale for $249.99 plus install. Let me know that you are ready to install this cam in your car.

This weekend, a 2023 Kia Sorento and a 2025 Hyundai Elantra got dash cams added to them. For the Sorento, I installed that classic THINKWARE Dash Cam Q200 system. New model of a tried and true platform. The Elantra got the Thinkware ARC with its 2.7 inch LCD touchscreen. Both of these systems are a great choice for any car to have in it, even yours! An awesome 2K Thinkware ARC dash cam that I installed in this 2025 GMC Sierra Denali today. The features on this dash cam are awesome, 2.7" LCD touch screen, GPS module, wide angle view, ADAS features, Supervisor Night Vision 2.0 and 2k front and rear recording. Features packed at a very reasonable price.
