Finally got around to our 53 international metro shop van build. We Picked this short bus us from Jeff @ Superglo and did a 99 s10 chassis swap. The Maiden voyage to hot August nights to join up with the was a success.

For this impossible to find emblem we got some mold casting silicone from the craft store made a copy of the emblem and melted down some wheel weights on the stove to fill the mold. A little polish, paint and clear and it’s ready to rock.

Got the wagon on a lift to check out the suspension. Pretty trick. Whoever did this conversion did a really good job. Turns out to be a 88 5th ave k member bolted straight to the stock frame. Maybe it’s been sectioned I can’t tell. Getting the carburetor rebuilt and she will be on the road next week! It’s looking like it should handle pretty good.
