Some 2026 Summer Recreation Areas Open today at J. Strom Thurmond Lake (Clarks Hill Lake)

The Savannah District, is opening the following campgrounds and day use areas for the 2026 summer recreation season at J. Strom Thurmond Lake today, March 27:

Lake Springs Day Use Area (Deer Run and Squirrel Nest only; the boat ramp is open year-round)
West Dam Day Use Area
Modoc Campground
Winfield Campground
Hawe Creek Campground
Petersburg Campground sites 28-93 (sites 1-27 are open year-round)

We are excited to announce that reservations are now open for Winfield and Petersburg Campgrounds at Thurmond Lake (Clarks Hill Lake) for the 2026 recreation season, starting March 9, 2026!

It's Back! We're OPEN til 6PM!

The Spring Season is here and we are back to our regular hours. Beginning today, Monday, February 16th, we are open 9am - 6pm Monday through Friday and 9am - 4pm on Saturdays! Stop by today and discover the reason we've been in business for 58 years!

In the interest of the safety of the customers and employees, CSRA Camperland will be closing at 2:15 today. Our plan is to return to normal business hours on Monday, February 2, 2026. CSRA Camperland will close today, Christmas Eve, at noon and will reopen for business at our regularly scheduled time of 8am on Friday, January 2, 2026. Thank you for an incredible 2025! We are praying for you and looking forward to serving you even better in 2026! May you Blessed today and every day!

As we pause during this season, please take the time to remember and reflect, but recognize Christmas isn't about the lights and tree, the travel or the meals. Christmas is about the Greatest Gift of All!

As we gather with family and friends, don't forget to say a prayer of thanks, hug a neck, and just enjoy the time with your family and friends. Remember all the blessings we have and where they come from.
Our offices will be closed November 27th through November 30th. We will reopen Monday, December 1st at 9am rested and ready to serve you. Kicking off our BIGGEST SALE of the Year! See you then!
