Good Morning Everyone !! Well I woke up to drizzle but it was already in the 50's as I headed out this morning.

It rained off and on all the way to Marquette. More of a drizzle but I did have to use the old wipers a bit on my travels to work.

Traffic was a little heavy this morning but overall everything was flowing smoothly.

Today's chapter in my book of life would be titled " The Big Fall."

Terri called me before I left work and asked me to pick up a couple subs from Jimmy Johns. I get home and it is pouring. Terri was up and volunteered to help put the furry friends away. In my mind I was very happy she was offered to help but I thought she would be all wet and uncomfortable before her nap for work....so I told her " I got this !! " I am going to be a awesome husband !! HAHA

Well it started off good. A lot of my furry friends are " smart " enough to get out of the rain....notice I said a lot of them...lol.

I get to the gate...it is pouring....dark as can be...and shining from the light of my flash light is 2 sets of eyes....the gate keepers....Toivo and Jack. I have to pay the price multiple times to get by them...a treat here...a treat there and I get my chance. I get by them and go to the boy goats. We have 5...3 of them are smart enough to get out there rain but our " horn dog " Boone is out there trying to impress the ladies with his side kick Ginger Billy just soaked. I put them away...and then go to the ducks who love the rain. I chase them around and finally get them in. The geese are the same outside dancing in the rain. I finally get them in, the lady goats who were originally inside but came outside to see what I was up to...well I get them in also. Next the chickens who most of them are already in. The chickens do not like rain so they are already inside. I lock everyone in...Terri built these houses like Fort Knox afraid the coyotes or other animals will get them at night. Smokey Joe of course is outside waiting for a fight...I had to nudge him in with the broom last night as he fought back bravely.

Last was the pigs...which seems to be our downfall. Terri hurt her knee months ago in the same area...but it was my turn last night. I was almost done...it started raining harder. You know I am already soaked so no big deal right...but no...the little voice inside my head tells me to hurry up because it is raining...not like it hasn't been raining the whole time. I start to hurry and boom...I slide across the mud and...well pig p**p. I kid you not I must have looked like Charlie Brown flying through the air when Lucy pulls the football away. It was like slow motion in my mind. I slip...I am looking straight up into the sky...for a moment I thought...oh this is going to hurt and...boom...I landed straight into the mud and pig p**p. It was like paste completely covering me and stuck to my clothes. I slowly got up of course pushing my hands into that...stuff...and hobbled away being stopped once again by the mafia boys strong arming me for one last treat. I cleaned up and thought well that wasn't too bad...until this morning...yep I am sore !!

Well the Big Fall could have been worse and I can laugh a bit today knowing that I wasn't injured too bad. This is the second time I fell in the pig area...once in the winter...now in the fall.

Today's Question of the Day !! Did you ever fall like this and in your mind everything was in slow motion. I swear a whole mini series was rushing through my mind as I flew through the air.

We are Open 8 until 5 today !! We are a little booked out but give us a call if you need us !!

Good Morning Everyone !! Well I woke up to a very foggy 42 degrees. Breezy and a damp feeling in the air.

Traffic was very heavy this morning as I headed to work. Nothing really to report this morning as everything was flowing smoothly.

Well as tradition I like to talk about my weekend adventures but today there is a twist....I am going to rant !!!

Ok to keep it somewhat short we will skip Saturday...and go right into Sunday.

Terri was working Saturday so I of course gave her a ride to work...headed back to the house and out like a light. I totally forgot about Daylight Savings time falling back. I wake up like normal...hop into the shower and get ready " just in case " Terri wants to go out for breakfast after she finishes work.

Well I head to get her and then I realize...I am an hour early...I forgot about the time change. Oh well...a nice nap in the parking lot...well as good as a nap as I can get....people coming and going...not the most comfortable trying to sleep in the pickup...but it is what it is....

She gets off of work and breakfast was amazing. We get home and start doing more winterizing chores. I drained our little outside bathroom that we built for when we had weddings...I still get it going every summer since if we are outside it is easier to run and use it then to go into the house and have to take your shoes off....it just makes life easier in the summer.

Terri started building a bigger goat house and of course we are using a lot of re-purposed wood so as she was building the frame I stripped more of the bark off the slab wood we had given to us.

Ok....all and all it was a good day with lots of work getting done...then 8:30 or so....I start getting tired. It just hit me and I was thinking...ok I went to bed a little later the night before and woke up a little earlier....so we took a sauna and off to bed.

So here is the rant....I wake up still due to my natural occuring alarm clock in my head....and....it is roughly 3:30 a.m. I lay in bed....Hey I don't have to get up yet...close my eyes...I hear the furnance run...hmmm...nice to know it is working since I tore it all apart and fixed it this summer....I lay there...exhausted and trying to sleep...I feel I doze off...wake up....3:35 a.m. I lay there...hmmm is that one of the dogs snoring....fall asleep....wake up....3:45 a.m. Are you kidding me !!! I do this until I finally get up angry and get ready to leave....good thing there will be coffee today...LOL.

So my rant...I truly dislike the time change...I don't have a problem with either the Spring time or Fall....I just wish it would stay the same !!!! Ok, not much of a rant...but I just wish it would stay the same !! It will be days until I adjust to this silly time change....

Well Today's Question of the Day !! Did you do anything fun this weekend....and Question # 2 are you like me and wish the time would just stay the same ??? Well let me know !!

We are right in the middle of our busy season right now and booked out a little ways....but if you call us we will get you an appointment as soon as possible !!

Good Morning Everyone !! I know it is Sunday but it was Terri's weekend to work and of course I drove her to work last night and picked her up this morning. It seems to be becoming a tradition to go to breakfast at the Summer Place on her weekends to work and today we found ourselves there again. Corn beef hash and eggs with hash browns were on the menu for me. We like to spend this little time together talking about our past and future dreams. Ok...this made me laugh a bit. Busy season is at hand and due to the work load I find myself on the floor more doing tires and my hands are very dry. She likes to hold my hand as I drive but the texture of my hands during this time year...well she doesn't like the feel of my cracked skin. Here was her cure for that until the lotion starts working.....

Good Morning Everyone !! Well I woke up to 25 degrees this morning with just a light layer of frost. Dark, cold and a little breezy.

Traffice was pretty light this morning heading to Marquette. Only a few cars on the road today.

Well Happy Halloween !! I imagine some people are getting ready for some fun later whether it is trick or treating, maybe a Halloween party or maybe you just are going to enjoy the weekend.

What ever your plans are I hope everyone enjoys and stays safe out there. Remember the little Gobblins get pretty excited and don't always watch for cars as they run from house to house.

Well I have a ton of paperwork today so my little post will be short.

As I said I hope everyone has a Great Weekend and Congrats to the Negaunee Miners and one of my favorites the Ishpeming Hematites on their wins last night !!

Today's picture is of Terri and I from a few years ago. We were both on a diet and I was doing quite well on mine....though Terri isn't always the same person when she is hungry....Good thing it was Halloween and we had a few Snickers around....
