Dirty Kautzman’s Diesel is a growing diesel repair shop focused on high-quality workmanship, honest service, and dependable repairs. We work on light-, medium-, and heavy-duty diesel trucks and take pride in doing the job right the first time.

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Diesel Mechanic who takes pride in their work, shows up on time and ready to work, and works well with others. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical ability, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities

* Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related systems
* Perform routine maintenance and inspections
* Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues accurately
* Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
* Document repairs and services performed
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
* Work closely with the team to keep workflow moving efficiently

* Diesel mechanic experience preferred (all experience levels considered)
* Strong mechanical aptitude
* Ability to diagnose problems and think critically
* Basic tool set preferred
* Valid driver’s license required
* Must be able to pass a background check and random drug tests
* Ability to lift, stand, and work in a shop environment
* Must have reliable transportation

🚨 Scheduling Update – Please Read 🚨

At this time, we are temporarily putting a hold on booking any new appointments for the next 3 weeks.

This pause is intentional so we can focus on the vehicles currently in our shop and work through the existing backlog. We feel it’s important to get these jobs completed properly and clear out our lot before taking on additional work.

We are a smaller operation with 2 mechanics, and making this adjustment allows us to keep things running efficiently and maintain the quality of work we expect out of ourselves.

We truly appreciate your patience, support, and understanding while we get caught up. We’ll reopen scheduling as soon as we’re back in a solid position.

🚨 NEW DIAGNOSTIC POLICY (EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY) 🚨

Due to ongoing diagnostic challenges, we are implementing a new policy for all customers:

Starting today, you will be required to:

✔️ Ride along with the technician during test drives
✔️ Point out noises in real time
✔️ Clearly identify when you say “there it is”

If the concern cannot be duplicated, you will be required to:

🔁 Return and ride along again
🔁 And again
🔁 And again… until it finally does it

Additional notes:
• Saying “it only does it sometimes” will require a minimum of 3 ride-alongs
• Saying “it was just doing it” automatically adds one extra attempt
• If the vehicle behaves perfectly, we will both sit in silence and question everything

We believe this will greatly improve diagnostic accuracy and reduce technician stress.
