If you need any collision repairs, rust repair, or a full paint job Matt is your guy! He has lots of experience to get the job done right and last the test if time!

Hi everyone! We want to introduce ourselves here at MGM collision. I am Matthew Hackel the owner and I have worked with cars and heavy equipment since I was 15 years old. I’ve worked at Krafts, and Dave hall here in Marlette doing vehicle repair and also have experience from my time at Dan’s Excavating with heavy equipment. I was born and raised in Marlette and currently live here with my wife and daughter.

We opened and named MGM Collision in honor of my best friend Michael Gene McLaughlan who passed away last year. I worked with Mike for 5 years at Dave Hall Chevrolet before taking some time away from collision work. During that time Mike started a successful collision shop of his own. I’m hoping to pick things up where he left off and make him proud by serving this community that he loved so much.

We look forward to serving this community and the surrounding communities for many years to come! Thank you for all the support you all have given us, we appreciate every share, like, and comment more than you know!

This 1969 Z28 is finally heading out the door. After a major set back do to a faulty lifter. This beast is ready to annihilate the rear tires. I installed this custom built 468 Big Block with 500hp and dressed it up with a beautiful March Performance pulley sytem, and backed it with a fresh built Th350 and a 3200rpm stall converter. I also installed a brand new Cold Case aluminum radiator with dual electric fans to keep her cool Also installed a fully stainless flow master exhaust sytem, and set up the entire suspension system with polyurethane bushings. And put a fresh paint job in the engine bay and front control arms and sub frame. This Big Block was tight fit but boy does it look like it was ment to be!

The "Catfish Camaro" is complete! After sitting for 7 years this speed machine is back in business! The owner purchased this 408 stroker Camaro drove it for awhile and it never ran quite as well as it should so he parked it. I found lots of things to fix and upgraded. I started off by doing a thorough inspection of the engine by removing it and opening it up to see what it truly was on the inside. Then put a better clutch and flywheel then stuck her back in. Then I started the upgrades! I ditched the OEM computer and harness and set it up with a new Holley EFI system to make tuning in this beast a breeze. Then added a Motion Raceworks 102mm throttle body, and bigger injectors upgraded the fuel system with a bigger pump, fuel lines and regulator to keep her well fed. After getting it running and driving better than ever I upgraded the OEM gauge cluster to a Holley Pro dash to go with the new efi system. This car was honestly really hard to let go. I had alot of fun working on this car and tuning it in!
If you've got a LS swap project give me call!!

GRANDPAS TRUCK NO MORE!! This 1981 C10 got decked out this winter! I pulled a low mileage 5.3 LS donor engine out of his brother's truck, and threw in a Truck Norris camshaft with LS7 lifters to get that CHOP CHOP, BIGGER heads, BIGGER intake, BIGGER fuel injectors and to top it off installed a Holley Terminator X fuel management system! This truck had the Rare option with the 3 speed with overdrive manual tranmission so we had it freshened up with new bearings and syncros. Installed a RAM performance clutch with billet flywheel. Then continued down the line and built the rear differential with bigger 30 spline axles, 3.73 gears and a Yukon posi unit, and install a set of Caltracs racing traction bars to deliver the power to the ground through these beautiful American Racing wheels that just set this truck off!! We didn't stop there!! I custom built a 3in stainless exhaust sytem with Corsa mufflers so EVERYONE knows he's coming!! This truck sounds SICK!! But that's not all!! I refreshed the interior with new carpet and brand new dash pad. Installed a Retrosound stereo and speakers. (You might not be able to hear it over the exhaust but its there🤣🤣)And finished it off with a wood grain steering wheel. Also made the front end shine a little more with a new chrome grill and head light bezels and as a cherry on top we had to install a hood ornament. Now the wait for clean roads and warmer weather to dial in the tune!!

This 1975 International Scout 2 is my first real frame off restoration job. I've been plucking away at this since last October and it's finally showing some visible progress.. Thing came in with license plates for qaurt panels. And the seat fell through the floor when I pulled it in! I pulled the body off and completely stripped and painted the frame in chassis saver and installed a 2.5in lift kit and rebuilt the steering and brakes. Do to the price and availability of the original engine parts we decided to LS swaped it! And backed it with a rebuilt TH350 combined with a Advanced Adapters plate to utilize the factory transfer case. We had to locate a new body do to WAYYY too much rust to repair. But after months of looking I found a new body with a chassis. It still needed some work but was a much better tub to repair. I ended up rebuilding the entire floor system. The entire perimeter of the floor at the pinch weld had rusted out pretty bad. Everything besides the rockers and lower quarter patches I custom built out of sheet metal. I rebuilt it as close to factory as I could, but also changed some things to make it last much longer! After all these scouts were known for being rust buckets! I still have some metal work to finish before coating the inner tube with bed liner for a durable and long lasting floor protection! This project has been long but it will definitely pay off in the end!! There's still lots to do but I'm very happy at my progress in the last few months. I'm really hoping to have this truck on the road this summer!
