Official Press release from this morning's Fatal Crash reveals there is two victims

On 12-24-2021 at approximately 7:30 a.m. the Grant County Sheriff’s Department
was notified of a two-vehicle crash on S.R. 37 at approximately 7300 South by an
off-duty Sheriff’s Detective in the area, the Detective also responded. Upon the
off-duty Officers arrival one of the vehicles involved, a small two door sedan, was
on fire. The Detective was able to enter the vehicle from the back window but
was unable to remove the driver, the only visible occupant, from the vehicle due
to the flames. The Detective then began to render aid to the occupants of the
other vehicle involved. Mill Township Fire Department, Fairmount Fire
Department, Grant County E.M.S. and E.M.A., Marion Health Ambulance service
also responded, along with Deputies from the Grant County Sheriff’s Department
and Officers from the Indiana State Police.
Upon the Fire Department’s arrival, the vehicle fire was extinguished. After the
fire was extinguished, it was discovered that another victim was in the backseat
area of the vehicle. Bringing the total to two victims from the vehicle on fire.
The front seat passenger of the second vehicle had to be extricated by the Fire
Department and was flown from the scene to an Indianapolis area Hospital. The
other four occupants of the second vehicle were transported by ambulance to
Ascension St. Vincent Mercy in Elwood Indiana.
The crash investigation showed that the small two door sedan was traveling
Southbound on S.R. 37 drove left of center into the path of the second vehicle, a
2006 GMC Yukon, that was Northbound on S.R. 37 this occurred at approximately

7300 South. The driver of the Yukon advised that she attempted to swerve away
from the impact but was unable. Impact was to the front passenger side of the
Yukon and the front passenger side of the small two door sedan. After impact the
Yukon came to a rest facing South along the West side of the roadway, the small
two door sedan came to a rest off the roadway to the East down an earth
embankment facing South East with the driver’s side door pinned against a tree.
The driver of the Yukon has been identified as Ashley Farrell 32 years old from
Elwood Indiana, front seat passenger Thomas Farrell 34 years old from Elwood
Indiana, and Three children ages 1, 7, and 12 years old from Elwood Indiana.
Injuries, Thomas Farrell has lower leg injuries and all else from the vehicle had
only complaints of pain and minor bleeding reported at this time.
The identities of the deceased are being withheld at this time until all notifications
have been made.
This crash investigation is still on going and when more information is available
for release it will be put out.
The Fairmount Police Department, Fairmount Civil Defensive, and the Grant
County Coroner’s Office also assisted in this investigation.

There are Fusion Surface mounts behind the grill, 49" GPL bar on top, T3's and more surfaces mounts in the rear. A Havis console holds the Feniex 4200 control and Storm Pro 100 W siren. This 2011 Tahoe features a mix of Feniex products and some recycled products supplied by the customer. A Setina push bumper and Fusion surface mounts on the mirrors with a Fusion visor light provide front warning. T3's and Surface mounts provide side and rear warning. A Havis console and Feniex Typhoon Full Function provide control of the system.

This already outfitted F Series grass rig was upgraded from halogen lighting to LED using Feniex products. The grill uses Wide-Lux LEDs and the rear rotors were replaced using Feniex Beacons. We not only upfit new vehicles but also can refit existing warning systems.

This 2021 Ford PIU is set up as a K9 vehicle. It features Feniex warning products with an American Aluminum K9 platform and ACE K9 Hot-n-Pop. A Havis console and Loft gun rack complete the install.

This 2021 RAM 1500 was built for Marion General Hospital Police Department. It features Feniex Dual Color Fusion Surface Mounts in the grill with a dual color Fusion Visor Bar. The side has T3s with Cannons and Fusion Surface Mounts in the rear. A Havis console with a Feniex 4200 and Storm Pro 100 W siren provide light and siren control. A Havis computer mount and Setina Gun rack finish out the install.

This 2020 RAM 2500 was built as an administration vehicle for EMA. It features Feniex Warning products with T3s in the grill and a 1X dash light at the top of the wind shield. T3s near the B pillar provide side warning and Cannons and Fusion Surface Mounts round out the rear warning. Inside a Havis console replaced the factory center console and houses Kenwood radios and a Feniex Typhoon Full Function control for the lighting and sirens. Graphics were designed and installed by Bad Apple Graphics.

When this Impala came to us it only had a dash light. We added a Feniex 49" GPL bar to provide increased front and rear warning. At Indiana Emergency Lighting we not only build new vehicles, we also refit and add to existing vehicles.
