Another successful same day clutch replacement

This S2000 was dropped off in the morning for a clutch job. While getting into it, we found additional issues that were not originally included in the estimate, but we were able to source everything quickly and keep the job moving without delays.

We replaced the original clutch and flywheel with a solid ACT and OEM combo, and had the car finished and ready for pick up before the shop closed.

Linked K24 Corolla

Late post, but we wrapped up tuning this K24 swapped Corolla last week. The owner did a solid job putting the car together, and it gave us almost no trouble on the dyno. Engine management is handled by a Link ECU.

We ran out of fuel on the 1000cc injectors pretty quickly, so the next step is upgrading injectors to push more boost. Even at just 4XX HP, this thing will be a riot on the streets.

Friendly reminder to schedule your car ahead of the week of your track day. If you are adding new parts, plan early and book time to properly dial in your setup, since unexpected issues can come up once the car is here. We want to help you make your track day.

For example, one recent build came in with new tires, coilovers, and a BBK setup. We were able to dial in the coilovers closely to the driver’s preferred specs. During the process, we also took time to look over the brake system to ensure everything felt right and was operating exactly as it should.

Another heavy hitter Civic in the books.

This Type R came in for more than just power it left with a full transformation. Outfitted with a VIS Racing carbon fiber hood, APR GT250 wing, and Gram Lights 57CR wheels, it now looks every bit as aggressive as it performs.

For the powerplant, the client chose the 27Won Kuro+ turbocharger, striking a balance between quick spool and stronger top end gains. The car made an impressive 585hp, pushing the turbocharger to its limit. While it does start to lose a bit of breath up top, boost comes on smoothly around 3500 rpm, making for a very usable and responsive powerband.

Supporting mods include a Full Race high pressure fuel pump paired with Hondata 2000cc injectors, delivering the fuel it needs while maintaining near OEM drivability at idle. While we were in there, we also performed a carbon cleaning service to keep everything running at its best.

To handle the added power, we installed an XClutch twin disc setup with rigid organic discs. Rated for up to 890 ft lbs of torque, it offers impressive holding capability while engaging smoothly like a sprung single disc, with zero chatter.

We are extremely happy with how this build turned out and look forward to bringing more proven setups like this to our clients.

For the past couple of years, he’s made the trip from Iowa with his beautiful, turbocharged S2000, trusting us to handle everything from routine maintenance to dialing in his performance setup. Crank the Boost: Nissan Skyline GTT

We finally got this beautiful Nissan Skyline GTT on the dyno after months of prep. The car came in completely stock aside from some aesthetic and suspension mods.

Although there's an extensive parts list, we'll keep it short.

On the hot side, we upgraded to a Garrett G-series turbo paired with an Artec manifold. To help it breathe, we went with a Zerofab intake manifold. With the added power, we chose a plug-in Link G4X to manage both factory and additional sensors. The G4X gives us full control over fuel, ignition, boost, and cam timing, allowing for precise tuning and a much safer power delivery.

Shoutout to Define Autofabrications for the help with the plumbing.

We can't wait to see the final numbers. It's already making good power on low boost.
