Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair, with experience in handling various mechanical tasks. This role requires proficiency in using both hand tools and power tools. The Automotive Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring that vehicles are operating safely and efficiently.
Duties
Perform automotive diagnostics to identify issues and recommend appropriate repairs.
Conduct brake repairs, including inspection, servicing, and replacement of brake components.
Repair and replace shocks and struts to enhance vehicle performance.
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various repair tasks.
Repair all necessary engine and transmission components for an operating vehicle.
Solder electrical connections as needed for repairs or modifications.
Operate forklifts safely when moving parts or vehicles within the shop.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
Collaborate with other mechanics and staff to ensure timely completion of repairs.
Requirements
Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic.
Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components.
Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques.
Experience with brake repair, shocks, struts, alignment, and all other engine and transmission related topics.
Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Must have own tools.
Valid driver's license is required; additional certifications are a plus.
Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
8 hour shift
Monday to Friday
Weekends as needed
