Elizabeth and Jason Trainer came out to Mandan this morning to check out her dad’s 1976 F150 4x4. It’s finished in classic Ford Candy Apple red, we freshened up the 390 FE engine, installed the new black interior components, replaced the beat up box, repaired some fairly extensive rust issues in the cab, and installed a Rough Country 2.5” lift kit. Of course we went through all the mechanical systems and repaired or replaced what was needed. It also got new dual exhaust installed by Penny’s muffler in Bismarck. The truck now has Old air products HVAC and a classic style Bluetooth radio from Custom Autosound.

Alan Erdman brought us his mother in law’s 1973 Dodge Dart Sw***er, it was treated to a full rotisserie restoration and returned to as close to original as possible with the exception of adding power brakes. The engine was rebuilt by Alan’s son’s auto shop class. The little 318 really purrs!
The vinyl top and interior is being handled by Tony’s restoration and upholstery in Berthold, ND. Hoping to see it all done soon!

We sent this 68 Impala SS back home to its owner a couple weeks ago. It came in for a frame on body and paint job. It’s pretty cool to see a car once in awhile that was actually taken care of after it was parked instead of stuck in a barn or a tree row. It got a fresh Butternut Yellow paint job with plenty of clear coat to keep it looking fresh for years to come. The owner opted to do the engine and mechanical work themselves. I hope we get a chance to see this beautiful beast again after it is back on the road!

Rick and Shirley Herbel brought us his grandpa’s old 51 Ford F-3 farm pickup for some body work and a little flashier paint job. The truck had already been updated with a 5.0 engine and overdrive transmission. We added EPAS electric power steering and cleaned up some of the modifications which had been done by Rick’s father and grandfather over the years. We cleaned up the chassis and gave it a fresh coat of black epoxy, then the body got sprayed organic green Kandy with plenty of clear to keep it looking great. This first generation F-series will definitely turn some heads and the story behind it is so cool. It’s nice to see the heavier versions of these old trucks get some love once in awhile!
