That’s guide coat, and it’s a body technician’s roadmap to a straight, smooth finish. As the panel is block-sanded, the guide coat stays in low spots, scratches, and imperfections, making areas that need more attention easy to see.
It helps technicians avoid sanding blind and ensures the surface is properly prepped before paint. 🎨
