If you’ve ever sat in our office, connected to the guest WiFi, or tried to call us and thought, “Man… these guys fix cars better than they fix the internet…” 😅

Good news. The new network is officially live. 💪🏼

That means fewer phone hiccups, faster access to repair information, happier scan tools, and ultimately better service for you. Turns out running two buildings on what was basically hopes, dreams, and mesh WiFi wasn’t the long-term play. 😂

Behind-the-scenes upgrades aren’t flashy, but they help us do what matters most: taking better care of you and your vehicles.

And honestly, hopefully less posts like hat have to look like this… 🤪

Tie rods... Nobody talks about them. Until one decides it’s had enough.

These little guys connect your steering system to your wheels. When they wear out, you could notice:

🔧 Loose steering
🔧 Clunks and pops
🔧 Uneven tire wear
🔧 Constantly correcting on the highway

And if one fails completely?

Well… the wheel gets to choose its own adventure. You’re just along for the ride you thought you were in control of… 😅😬

Pro tip: An alignment can’t fix worn-out parts. That’s like trying to build a house on a cracked foundation. You can make everything look straight for a little while, but it won’t stay that way for long.

Tie rods may not be exciting, but they do a pretty good job of keeping you out of the ditch. 😎

Wouldn’t it be wild if talking about your car felt more like talking to a buddy than sitting through a lecture? 😅

We do things a little differently around here.

Yeah, we know cars. That part matters. But we also believe in treating people like… well… people. No talking down to you. No trying to sound smarter than everyone in the room. No pressure.

Just real conversations, honest answers, and helping you make the best decision for you.

Crazy concept, right? 🤷‍♂️

If you haven’t experienced Gearhead yet… what are you waiting on? Come say hi. 👋

Crazy what one picture can bring back.

No lifts. No fancy equipment. No big crew.

Looking at this photo, I’m mostly filled with gratitude. For every customer who’s trusted us, every friend who’s encouraged us, and everyone who’s played a part in getting Gearhead to where it is today.

It’s easy to focus on where you’re trying to go, but sometimes it’s good to look back and appreciate where you started.

Thankful for the journey and excited for what’s ahead. ❤️💪🏼

Maybe I’m just getting old, but air tools are LOUD. 😅

I saw Milwaukee just unveiled their new “air” hammer, and I have to admit, I’m pretty excited about this one. No compressor screaming in the background, no hose dragging across the floor, and hopefully a little more peace and quiet around the shop. 😂

It’s cool to see manufacturers continue innovating. Investing in better tools and equipment is part of keeping the shop moving forward and serving our community better.

Now if they’d hurry up and actually get the thing on the market… 🤣

Hey, I’m Kyle.

If you’re new here, I’m the guy behind Gearhead Autoworks.

I graduated from Pittsburg State’s Automotive Technology program, but more importantly, I’ve always been the kind of guy that wanted to know how things worked. Cars have been a lifelong passion, and opening this shop has been one of the biggest adventures of my life.

My goal isn’t to build the biggest shop in the Wichita area.

I just want to build one that people can trust.

Whether you drive a daily commuter, a diesel, a Euro car, or something you’ve spent years turning into your dream build, my team and I believe you deserve honesty, clear communication, and repairs done right.

No gimmicks. No pressure. No dealership politics.

Just real people who love what they do and want to take care of our community.

If we’ve never met, I’d love the opportunity to earn your trust.
