Project Raven Update

We noticed a small pool of coolant under our Project Raven. After a closer inspection, we traced the leak to a coolant pump that was leaking at the electrical connector. Judging by the buildup, it appears this leak had been going on for some time.

We cleaned the electrical connector, installed a brand-new Tesla coolant pump, and got Raven back in action!

But we’re not done yet. Coolant pump #1 is also noisy and throwing an alert, so we have another genuine Tesla pump on order. As soon as it arrives, we’ll get that taken care of, too.

This is why we believe in addressing the little things before they turn into bigger problems. A small coolant leak is easy to overlook, but catching it early can make all the difference.

I swear, you never know what you’re going to find when you get these cars up in the air. 😳

Today on Project Raven, we found this on the passenger-side inner tie rod… Need I say more? 🤦‍♂️

Nevertheless, it’s been replaced. We’re just waiting on the new outer tie rod to land, and then we’ll keep moving forward with the rebuild

Suspension time for Project Raven! 🛠️

We noticed the driver-side rear suspension was slowly leaking down, although it would come back up and hold pressure.

We started with a leak test on the rear air shock and airline — both passed. So, we moved on to the manifold…

And guess what we found. 👀

Project Raven update

Test-fitted the fender, bumper, and headlight today. Everything is coming together nicely.

Still waiting for the RH fender bracket, suspension compressor bracket, hood hinges, and hood to land.

Next up: we’ll start on the front bumper and track down a rear air-line leak.

Slowly bringing this 2020 Model X Raven back to life. More updates coming soon!

This one came in with some light passenger-side damage. We’ll be starting with the headlight bracket, shot gun rail, fender, bumper, inner tie rod, and headlight.

Parts have been ordered, and some we already had in stock. Time to get to work

The Model Y had an abnormal wheel noise coming from the driver-side front.

We removed the wheel and inspected the suspension for any play or worn components—everything checked out good. We then spun the rotor by hand and immediately noticed it was getting badly hung up in one spot.

We removed the rotor, placed it on the Ammco brake lathe, and sure enough… it was warped! 🤦‍♂️

A new rotor was ordered and installed, and the result? No more wheel noise.

Took some time to install the swivel/tilt screen attachment on the Cybertruck.

The install wasn’t too bad, but once it’s completed, the difference is AMAZING! 🔥 The screen now swivels and tilts for a much better viewing angle.

Honestly, this is something the Cybertruck should have come with from Tesla!

Updated the pyrofuse on this 2019 Model X after the customer received the alert. The customer also requested to have the 12V battery replaced for peace of mind.
