On Memorial day we went up to Golden Sands Speedway for the 3rd race of the season for the Midwest Truck Series. Our first two trips up there weren't great. It was either raining before the races or during the races or after the races. We never were able to get the truck sorted out and it was definitely not one of Wyatt's favorite race tracks. This time though the weather was great! We finally had time to sort things out and try some changes and try to make the truck better. Our racing didn't go great, we did improve all day, but the results don't really show that. We did find a couple of things that we couldn't change at the track and we'll be looking at that when we get back to the shop. The driver was much happier with the truck and with the track which is good becuase Golden Sands is a great facility with some really good people. If you missed us at Golden Sands we will be at Madison International Speedway on Friday night running with the MISfitz. Hope to see you there

I'm a little late in posting this, but we did race on Friday night. With our truck, there are only a few tracks outside of the Midwest Truck Series where we can race. Fortunately Madison International Speedway and the Misfitz division is one those places. The one thing us "misfits" have in common is our 602 crate motor power plants. So with a bunch of 602 outlaws, a couple of limited late-models, a modified, and our truck... we raced! Wyatt Kraiss qualified pretty well. There were 2 feature races for us and we started near the front of both of them. Unfortunately we were chasing set up and tire issues. We were too loose in the first feature and too tight in the second one. We finished mid pack in both of them, but we brought the truck home in one piece, had fun and well be ready for Golden Sands on Memorial Day. If you can't join us there, we'll be back at Madison International Speedway the following Friday, May 29th. Hope to see you soon.

The Joe Shear Classic at Madison International Speedway started out really really well for us. We made some changes to the truck and we found some speed. There was group qualifying to make the feature and Wyatt Kraiss went out in group 1 and was the fastest in his group turning a qualifying time of 19.132 seconds. This put us in the show on our qualifying time. Wyatt started 17th in the feature and things were looking really well until about halfway through the feature when the first caution came out which Wyatt was involved in, but didn't have any damage, and then there was another caution right after that and unfortunately Wyatt got up caught up in a third incident, so the third time was definitely not the charm. So, what started out as a really good day will never show up in the race finish, but the truck's okay, we're okay, and we found some speed that we will take with us to Golden Sands Speeway on Memorial Day weekend with the Midwest Truck Series . Hope you can make it.

Pretty good day at the racetrack today. We were at Madison International Speedway today practicing for the Joe Shear classic that will be run tomorrow. We changed some things and made the truck better so we're feeling pretty good, the ignition issues that we had up at the Dells seems to have all been fixed so we're looking forward to a good day tomorrow. Hope to see you there.

Racing season has now begun. We went up to Dells Raceway Park this weekend for the Midwest Truck Series season opening event The Icebreaker 50. We got up there on Friday for practice. It was a little chilly, but the day went well. We did have a miss in the engine that turned out to be a bad sparkplug. But by the end of the day Wyatt was turning laps on old tires that were comparable to our lap times in race trim last April.

Saturday was race day, or at least it was supposed to be. Mother nature had other plans. The threat of rain was a real issue all day. We got our hot laps in and Wyatt drew the 31st qualifying spot of 34 trucks. Wyatt put in a great qualifying effort and posted a 14.426 second lap time on his final lap of qualifying. A couple of trucks qualified after Wyatt and then the skies opened up and washed out the rest of the day. We would have to come back on Sunday to try and get the show in.

Waking up on Sunday morning it was very questionable if there would be any racing happening at all. The morning consisted of periods of heavy rain, thunder and lightning. The weatherman promised us a break in the weather where we might be able to get the show in, so we headed to the track. Finally around noon the weather did break and we were able to get back out on the track. Wyatt did not qualify for the Icebreaker 50 on his qualifying time so he would have to go through the last chance qualifier to get into the feature event. Seven trucks would transfer to the feature, Wyatt would start eighth. He raced hard and moved all the way up to sixth before slipping back to eighth in a battle with the 28 truck of Tom Steinbach for the last transfer spot. So that left him out of the show through the last chance race. Fortunately he was the fastest qualifier not yet in the show and was given a provisional start for that and would start the feature in the trunk.

In the 50 lap feature Wyatt’s truck picked up a push exiting the corners. He hung in there as best he could but then on lap 25 the engine started losing power and he pulled off the track and we had to call it a day. We believe it’s an ignition issue and we will have that fixed in plenty of time for our next race, The Joe Shear Classic at Madison International Speedway on May 3rd. Hope to see you there!

Round 2 of the Wisconsin State Championships at Jefferson Speedway started out okay, we did have to deal with some rain, but it passed fairly quick. Wyatt qualified 2 and a half tenths quicker than the night before, and he started 4th in his heat race and finished 3rd! After that it was more of a struggle. He started the feature deep in the field and looked good at the start, but got stuck behind another truck. He was faster, but couldn't get by him. Eventually we ended up going down a lap and didn't recover. In the end we improved our performance and didn't tear anything up. We'll be ready for at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway in 2 weeks. Hope to see you there.

We made it out to Jefferson Speedway for the first round of the Wisconsin State Championships. A little bit of rain early, but otherwise the weather was good. We ended up with some kind of intermittent miss in the engine, so we'll have to figure that out today and get ready for round 2 tonight! Hope to see you there.
