Sad to hear of the passing of the founder of Big Boys Truck Stop.

For a lot of people, it may just be a truck stop. For my son and I, it has always been something more.

One of my son’s favorite places on earth is Big Boys. Over the years, he spent many miles with me out on the road, and stopping there became one of those little traditions that meant far more than we probably realized at the time. A meal, a break from the highway, walking around, talking, laughing — just a father and son making memories somewhere between one load and the next.

Those are the moments you carry with you.

Places like Big Boys don’t become special by accident. They become special because someone had a vision, built something people could feel at home in, and created a place where generations of drivers and families could stop, rest, and make memories of their own.

My thoughts are with his family, friends, employees, and everyone whose life he touched.

Thank you for building a place that became part of our story. Rest in peace Walter, we'll meet again some day ...

This week, we’re proud to recognize the men and women who keep our company — and our country — moving.

To our company drivers and owner-operators at Albert Farms, Inc.: thank you.

Thank you for the early mornings and late nights.
Thank you for the miles away from home and the time spent away from your families.
Thank you for battling snow, rain, traffic, tight schedules, and all the unexpected challenges that come with life on the road.

Most people see a truck traveling down the highway. We see the person behind the wheel — the professional who makes sure the freight gets where it needs to go safely and reliably.

What you do matters.

Our customers depend on you. Our communities depend on you. And Albert Farms, Inc. would not be the company it is today without the dedication of our drivers and owner-operators.

During Truck Driver Appreciation Week, we hope everyone takes a moment to remember that nearly everything around us spent some portion of its journey on a truck.

To our drivers: we see the work you put in, we appreciate the sacrifices you make, and we are proud to have you representing Albert Farms.

From all of us at Albert Farms, Inc. — thank you for everything you do, every mile of the way. ❤️🚛

Happy Truck Driver Appreciation Week!

Today, we remember.

September 11, 2001 changed our country forever. We remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the first responders who ran toward danger, the families who never got to say goodbye, and the countless Americans whose lives were forever changed that day.

For those of us in trucking and transportation, the road is something we understand well. Every day, our drivers travel across this country — through small towns, big cities, and communities connected by the same highways and the same American spirit.

All these years later, those roads still carry more than freight. They carry families, livelihoods, memories, and the responsibility to never forget the sacrifices made on 9/11.

Today, the trucks may keep rolling, the phones may keep ringing, and the freight may keep moving — but we pause to remember where we were, who we lost, and how our country came together in the days that followed.

May we never forget the victims.
May we always honor the heroes.
And may we never take for granted the country and communities we are fortunate enough to serve every day.

Never Forget — September 11, 2001
