Remember we make very little per gallon.
Being a small station some weeks I pay more per gallon than listed at the pumps.
Also when the gas price is this high another tax really starts to hurt. Lynchburg's gross sales receipt tax for your business license.
The amount you make stays the same but the tax they charge goes up.

Even Obama knew a gas tax holiday was a GIMMICK

Family run for 70 years. Started as Whorley's Gulf by Buford Whorley with the help of his father Frank & sons Greg, Daryl, and Michael Whorley.
My dad Greg bought it from his father Buford around 1980. After my Dad past in 2010 I couldn't let all the years of effort just disappear or have the long time employees (same as family to me) loose their livelyhood.
It took me about 3 years to work out a deal with the banks and the estate. But I don't know how I could have lived with myself if I hadn't.

In my Dad's memory I named the business after him simply Greg's Automotive 🙂
