Got to head over to JDM Kings to pick up the VQ35HR for the motor swap project we have going on.

Crazy to see all these JDM motors ready to go. A whole bunch of k20a and k24a if anyone wants a turbo project 👀👀

Busy day at the shop today.

I went and picked up an 03 Z I’ve done a lot to help with.

Fixed the driver side door handle.
Fixed the front bumper and rear bumper fitment.
Fixed the headlight fitment, and did some diag to find a bad ballast/igniter.
Replaced both belts, and upgraded the hardware on the tensioners!

While I am primarily a performance shop, if you need help mounting a body kit, especially if it’s KDB reach out!

What a crazy couple days made even more fun by doing it without power!

At the shop, I took on the job of tearing down a VQ35HR to pull the Tomei cams so they can be installed by VQ’s and VR’s of Houston in the fresh JDM HR I am swapping into a customers car. Needless to say I’m not an engine builder and struggled through the process, but ended up getting it done. For all the people who have asked me about motor work, it’s still a definite no don’t ask lol.

Then I got to send a base map out for a customer in Vegas who just installed a Pure 550 on his FL5. This is gonna be an extremely fun car even on 91 octane, and I’m excited to see how the Pure Turbo stacks up against other turbos I’ve tuned! I believe we are going to knock out this remote tune in one day this upcoming Monday so I’ll have results soon on my virtual dyno!

Now time to enjoy a hot shower, and hot meal before I pick up another customers 350z for some work in the morning!

Extremely busy day at the shop today!

Started the day off working on the motor swap 350z project. Went ahead and pulled the rack to replace once I get new tie rod ends tomorrow, and made the final touches to get the motor ready to come out. Only a couple bolts, couple fuel rails, and the wiring harness and the current motor will be out. Going JDM HR for the replacement, and will be getting a custom Import Transition tune as well using UpRev!

Next I met with a customer with a VA WRX that is looking to get into modifying and tuning the vehicle. This specific car is pretty high mileage so he’s going to bring it in for a whole inspection and compression test before he installs intake/downpipe/EBCS and a Cobb Accessport and we get a solid tune done with MiG tuning.

After that a long term tuning customer with a Coyote F150 stopped by. Trying to deal with an obvious header issue on his aftermarket headers, I had sent him to other shops to get it checked out but they ended up retuning the vehicle and getting the same idle issues with less power. So looks like I’ll be removing the headers on the truck, inspecting gaskets and making a decision on whether they will be reinstalled with proper gaskets or OEM is going back on.

Finished up the day taking a trip to Port Arthur to get a K20 RSX ready to get tuned. Car is freshly put together and it seems like they did a great job. Just need to get the wideband installed into the KPro V4 and they will get the Import Transition Honda secret sauce!

Seems like the area really missed me while I was gone. All glory to God for getting me in front of these new customers, the Import Transition family is growing by the day!
