Hunting season is here, and campers are heading to the woods. Here's one from last week worth sharing.

A local man bought a camper, and he's a diesel mechanic himself, so he knows his way around equipment. When we got there, the front axle wheel had a lot of play in it. We replaced the wheel bearing and the hub cap so it was safe to haul again.

We don't know what happened before it got to him, and we're not pointing fingers. Things get missed. It happens with private sellers, and it can happen with dealers too.

That's why we do pre-purchase inspections, and yes, that includes campers. We'll check the running gear that keeps it safe on the road, like bearings and axles, and on some setups, brakes too.

Buying a truck or car? We do a full electronic sweep of the modules, a mechanical inspection, and a written summary so you know what you're buying. And if it's a diesel, that's right in our wheelhouse.

Thanksgiving is five weeks out, and around here that usually means one thing: road travel!

Q. So how does your family do it? Everybody piles into one vehicle? Caravan?
And where are y'all headed? We know Tennessee is top of the list for a lot of folks. Mountains, beach, Grandma's house, tell us! ( we're thinking Ky!)

Hey friends!

Last week a local mechanic called us to say thank you.

He'd been chasing a problem on his 2014 F-150 for a while. He put in the time, checked the usual suspects, and it kept coming back. With Wesley's help, they tracked it down to the camshaft position sensor. One part. Problem solved.

Shabbat Shalom from J&W! 🕯️BUSY, busy week ya'll:

This week's diagnostics turned into a parts hunt. We ran down this, that, and the other to get the job done right, and we’re running a little behind tonight. We’d rather finish late than leave a job half-done.

Here’s a little sneak peek: we’re working on a vehicle a local shop called a blown head gasket. It’s not a head gasket. If this repair finishes the way we expect, that’s a couple thousand dollars staying in somebody’s pocket. More on that soon. 👀
