Thinking of taking the jump into purchasing an electric car? This is the golden age of getting a good deal. Yes, the 25's will be better, but you always pay for the latest and greatest. It was 34 degrees in Conde, South Dakota this morning and it was so nice to jump into my electric pickup and the car interior was at 74 degrees while my heated seat and steering wheel was toasty warm. At age 65, I could care less about 0-60 times. To me it is all about comfort and driving a vehicle that is 95% energy efficient vs a truck that is 35% efficient on the its best day. Paying three dollars for 100 miles of fuel does not hurt either😉

Just finished a long video on what your salesperson should have taught you about your IONIQ 5/6 when the car was delivered. In general, car dealers do a poor job of introducing people to new technology. I hope this will help new owners in the IONIQ family of cars. I love my role as a teacher in the Electric Car field. Nothing like being a retired teacher and doing what I like to do while setting my own schedule. Also, I get to play with some wonderful toys along the way. I took out the new 24 Kona Electric for a few days and love many of the new features in the car that my far more expensive IONIQ 5 does not have. The refreshed 25 IONIQ 5 should steal everyone of these updates!

Took a road trip to a Tesla charger in my Ioniq 5 and the magic doc system worked well. Many of these chargers are located in out of the way places, but they work well with no issues. Glad to see all car companies in the U.S. move to the North American Charging Standard (Tesla). As much as I am not a fan of the head man, the charging system will be much improved after car companies make the move. Thank you Mr. Danner for being my co-pilot and good friend.

Hey folks, if you ever thought about buying an electric IONIQ Six, this would be the time to do so. Hyundai is offering $7500 off on 23 cars and it is the end of the year so the dealer will kick in additional cash. If you live in Colorado the dealer will take another $5,000 complements of the State tax break for electric vehicles. This cuts out much of the risk of depreciation because of the money that is up front from Hyundai. Furthermore, electric cars are so comfortable with pre-heating and cooling features that start fifteen minutes before you leave with the engine turned off (no exhaust) and you get two year of free electricity and $1,200 dollars towards installing a charger.

I am all about education and that is true when it comes to learning how to use and drive and electric car. The most important thing about choosing a dealership is to select a company that is willing to invest in your EV Journey and to make sure you are comfortable with and proficient in using your new car.
