Good vs. Bad Lower Ball Joint

Customer complained about severe tire wear, & this was the reason.

Your lower ball joint helps hold your wheel in place in order to be able to safely drive straight.

This video shows the difference between a good and bad lower ball joint on a 2010 Ford Focus.

This pit was an addition to the shop in the early 90’s. We still use it to service the majority of our heavier fleet vehicles, box trucks, & heavy duty trucks that wouldn’t be safe on one of the lifts.

We actually used to use it for semis as well.

This is a great example of how putting things off can cost you more in the long run.

A new wheel bearing would have been a couple hundred dollars to have replaced, but a new axle will be nearly a thousand.

If you think you’ve got something wrong with your vehicle, have it checked out by a professional. It could actually end up saving you money.
