I had never considered buying the Sena 60S EVO as I didn’t see much advantage over the 50S, until I spoke with our Sena rep and he showed me the following:
1. Battery life… my 50S was good for about 8 hours on Mesh, the 60S is rated for 19 hours on Mesh and 27 on Bluetooth, which means a long full day in the saddle won’t kill the battery.
2. Audio… new sound by Bose is more than just different speakers. The new audio processing provides richer mid and low frequencies
3. Waterproof… I never had a problem with the 50S, but it’s not really waterproof. The 60S is rated at IPX7 waterproof rating.
4. Mounting system… it comes with 2 complete cradle / mic / speaker set ups. This means moving between 2 helmets is as easy as pulling the unit off one and putting it on the other. AND it’s magnetic, a STRONG magnetic.
5. Noise reduction… with the addition of the sena ear buds the unit does 20 dB of ambient noise reduction. Cool.
6. Limited lifetime warranty vs the standard warranty.
Two are in stock now!
