Just a quick pic to say that in addition to my team, I am very thankful for the companies who support my racing efforts. Many have been with me since I started. I have said before that it is easy for me to offer positive comments about my experiences with these products and companies because I was using them before they were supporting me - that is why I approached them.
I am also very excited about a new partnership that is coming together and I will be able to post about it shortly. It is a company that is helping to make the environment I work in better! NEMRR Round 2 – report + photos 📸🏍️
Round 2 was… a mix.
Friday gave us great weather. The weekend? Not so much.
Saturday (Races 7 & 12) weren’t very memorable—unless you count the unexpected sightseeing through the grass in Race 7 😅. The bike felt stiff and uncomfortable, and yeah… a few people said I didn’t look like I was having fun. I was—but I was frustrated. I’d talked myself into a stiffer rear spring and was running Q5s, and instead of riding, I was fighting the bike the whole time.
Then came the aha moment.
By “aha,” I mean grabbed me and told me I was being an idiot. That’ll do it. 🤣
Qs gone, old spring back in, head removed from… well, you know.
Sunday was a whole different story. The bike felt right again—I just had to remember how to ride it. My starts are still terrible, but Race 2 was 🔥 with some great back‑and‑forth battling with my buddy Craig. Took P3, and had an absolute blast.
The afternoon brought rain 🌧️, and by Race 12 the grid was… significantly smaller. I took my first race win—in a field of one. I’m choosing to believe that was due to intestinal fortitude, not because everyone else packed it in.
A win is a win. I’m taking it. 😂🏆

Race report inbound… a little bit of hardware for the weekend. Four races. 9th, 9th, 3rd and 1st. And no, I don’t think it’s cheesy, that I was the only one in my class in the last race… that’s what happens when the rain comes! All in all, a positive weekend.
