PSA from the crew over here at UFO Motorsports. Its been brought to our attention that there is a misconception in the racing community that we only build cars for the Gomez Brothers or that we work for them. Clearly the GBR team is like family to us. But UFO Motorsports is a seperate entity from GBR. There are no restrictions as to who we can build for or what we can build. If its a UTV or a TT or anything in between we can build it for you with the same passion and drive to win that we have put into every one of our previous cars!

During qualifying JP Gomez hurt his steering box when he hit the wall coming down back door. Months and weeks before hammers we had been working on an update for our steering to make it faster and easier in left/right transitions. Well we decided to implement the update between qualifying and race day. I packed up the parts and headed to Charlie Hutchison's shop PSS (power steering solutions) to modify JP's steering box. We worked all day getting it done.. one of the best parts of that process was calling Jeff at Howe performance steering for some insight on how to properly make the mods.. he could have easily told us to kick rocks.. but he didnt. And it just shows whats really important to both of those dudes and their respective companies.. they are competitors in a small market but they both put that aside with the common goal of winning.. and thats exactly what we did! The steering was absolutley money from green flag drop to the checkers! So to Charlie and Jeff I have to give a big thank you. we could not have done it without both of you. To any racer out there. You can call either of these guys and you can be confident they will give their best to get you on the box..

So many emotions from this KOH. The ups and downs were intense.. we though we had it wrapped up then Raul rolled and it was absolute heartbreak. Marcos was moving up FAST but bent a shift fork only allowing low range. Then Loren came back into the race and was pushing hard and going fast as hell, we thought it was over....then he broke.. then Kyle moved into physical first and then he lost his front shocks and BAM!! just like that we were back in it with JP as he was already moving through the pack extremely fast. So then it was just a hope and a prayer that he would make it to the finish clean. He hit all his VCP's drove like an absolute bad ass and came in for the win.. not gonna lie. I cried 🤣

so proud of the entire GBR race crew that puts in the hard work and always give it 110% to make sure the cars get to the finish.

Also need to say that crew we have at UFO is the best its ever been. Stephen Anthony Olson has been such an asset and it shows with the platform that we were able to put together for 3 back to back wins. Aj The shop foreman has a work ethic that is unmatched and he is always on top of the details. And our new edition to the team is Noah Mitchell. he has been absolutely kicking ass as he helped the GBR crew with the prep of all of the cars before we hit the lakebed. Proud of you dude.

Also gotta mention our Amish fabricator/machinist Dan Trout. He has come through in the clinch so many times now. Maching, fabricating and welding lots of last minute components to get the cars ready. Its an honor having a legend like him in our camp.

And I think its safe to say that our cars are KOH rated!! šŸ‘ŠšŸ»šŸ‘ŠšŸ»

Heat management is one of the most important things to consider in a build. Even more critical when speeds are slow and HP is high. We have been using Header Shield for a long time and its costly but worth it. Why spend a few hundred thousand on a car then spend another 20-30g’s just getting to hammers only to melt all of your plug wires on the last rock trail šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø
