Today we had the opportunity to welcome teachers from across Lorain for a tour of the Lorain Ohio Kartplex.

As we prepare for our Grand Opening, we’re excited to explore ways to partner with local schools, community organizations, and youth outreach programs to create new educational and recreational opportunities for children throughout our region.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to visit. We look forward to building strong community partnerships and finding new ways to make a positive impact both on and off the track!

This week's Pro Competition Track open practice schedule is now available.

As we continue preparing for our Grand Opening on June 20th, we've adjusted practice hours slightly this week to allow additional staff training and final preparations around the facility.

These changes are temporary and we'll be expanding practice availability and have a more consistent schedule in the coming weeks.

Thank you to all the drivers, teams, and families for your patience and support.

Our new public rental karts hit the track for a full test session today, and they were an absolute blast!

Our staff spent the day behind the wheel putting the Tillotson rental karts through their paces, and the verdict was unanimous: these things are a ton of fun to drive.

Join us Saturday, June 20th for our Grand Opening. We can't wait for everyone to experience them for themselves!

What a wild weekend of racing! Thank you to everyone who came out to compete in the opening rounds of the Black River Kart Club and Great Lakes Sprint Series.

Congratulations to all of our race winners and podium finishers. The level of competition throughout the weekend was outstanding, and we're excited to see these championship battles continue all season long.

A huge thank you as well to our partner Johnny K's Powersports for their continued support of karting and helping make events like this possible.

We appreciate everyone who made the trip and can't wait to welcome you back for the next race weekend on June 19th & 20th. The season is just getting started!

The track was busy all day for practice, but tomorrow the competition begins.

Drivers from across the region will compete as the Black River Kart Club and Great Lakes Sprint Series kick off an action-packed weekend of racing at Lorain Ohio Kartplex.

If you're a fan of motorsports, this is an event you won't want to miss.

Plus, Rolling Refreshments will be on-site serving handcrafted coffee and specialty drinks, while Pork Mac N' More will have BBQ pulled pork mac and cheese available.

Frankie B's will also be serving hot dogs, sandwiches, wraps, gyros, and more throughout the weekend.

Gates open at 6am. Coffee Truck opens at 7:30am and food trucks open for lunch.
