Monday, don't you just love Mondays! This Monday marks another month gone by. 4 months left in 2026. Well, on this lovely Monday we have pulled the motor from Ernie's GTO and have started talking her apart so we can drop the new stroker Molnar crank, rods, and the Mahle 4.030 piston in her. More HP, ah, yeah! We also got Jonathan C5 to install the front half of the cage now. We did the roll bar and back half a while ago; now the rest will get installed. https://xpmotorsports.com/

Manny C's 2019 GS on the dyno after Kooks headers and Borla Atak axle back. With 98 degree temperature and 90% humidity the girl made RWHP 426 and RWTQ 425.

Finishing up Manny C's 2019 C7 GS. Installed Kook's long tube headers with high-flow green cats and a Borla Atak axle back with black tips. The girl has a sweet rumble that turns to a great roar when you get on her! Off to the dyno next with the girl. Tearing down Ernie's GTO and getting her ready for the machine work on the LS2. A heads up: if you're on the fence about adding a set of headers to your car, decide very quickly. September 1st, Kooks has a price increase of about 5%. I would guess others to follow shortly.

Ernie M dropped off his beautiful 06 GTO for some more work. Back in '22 we did a cam upgrade, FAST intake, timing set, and other goodies. In '23, he brought it back for headwork, fueling system, injectors, and additional goodies. With that, we made 525RWHP/490RWTQ. The beast is back, and we are going to push the girl out. Installing a Molnar-forged crank and rods, pushing the girl out to a 4.000 stroke and a bore of 4.030, making her a nice 408 CI. With the existing ported and polished head, going to install a Katech 103mm anodized black throttle body. This girl is going to SCREAM! Keep checking back for the finished product.

Another Monday and school back in session. In the shop we are starting to assemble Raul's engine. A refresh of his LS1 out of his 2001 C5 Corvette. The girl was getting a little tired with the 225,000-plus miles. Giving the old girl a new makeover. New timing chain and melling oil pump, new lifters and springs and retainers, and added a BTR trunnion kit with new rockers. All new seals and gaskets, sensor. Rebuilding the torque tube with new bearings and couplers. She'll be ready for the road.

The start of another week. Today moms are very happy, and the children are mad, as schools in central Florida opened today. Meanwhile in the shop we delivered Randy's Vette last week and repaired Jacobs B C5 torque tube issue and backfire. Got him running smooth. Raul C dropped off his 01 C5 Corvette, making some really loud clanging noise. Did a compression test, and cylinder 3 is way down on compression, so getting her ready to pull the motor and see what damage is done. Parts are slowly coming in for Ernie's GTO build, going to push that girl out to a 408 with a Molnar crank and rods and Mahle pistons. Pistons are here waiting on the crank and rods. Michael H's parts are also coming in; we're still waiting on the Nitron coilovers and will set that C6ZO6 suspension all up.

Monday morning, and we hope everyone had a great weekend. We are putting the final touches on Randy O's 07 Corvette. Have the 9Lives splitter installed, the new DeWitts radiator installed, and the Paragon Cool suit and the ATI dampener. We install some warning lights for high water temp, low oil pressure, and high oil temps as a safety measure. Have Jacob B's C5 in for some torque tube repair. Working on Randy O's 07 C6. The brackets are all mounted for the front splitter; got the DeWitt radiator installed. When getting everything ready to install the rad, we noticed that the harmonic balancer was starting to come apart. Since this is a track car and we are in there, we installed an ATI Super Damper, and the motor will be happy. Installing some warning lights for high coolant temps, high oil temps and low oil pressure. Sometimes having redundancy is a good thing.

Monday morning and another steamy one in Central Florida. Spent Saturday at the iconic Sebring International Speedway shaking down Dave P's ZO6 with the new motor installed. The car ran flawlessly all day with the new motor. In the heat on some used Nankang AR-1s Dave laid down some great lap times, running consistently 2:22s. All the temps were spot on in the heat of the day. You know it's a great day when you turn fast lap times and load the girl up in the trailer in one piece with no scratches. Back to work today working on Randy O's Corvette, installing a Nine Lives front splitter, some warning lights, a DeWitts radiator, and a Paragon cool suit system.
