R&D front nose. Aluminium, this is the annealing process. First a soot coating is needed, you can accomplish this by turning the Oxygen on your torch or you can use a heat marker or a sharpie even a infrared laser thermometer. The purpose of any of these methods is to see when the panel is hot enough to be annealed. After you decide whatever means necessary to check the temperature accurately. Then you can turn up the Acetylene on the torch till you get the heat desired based on the material and thickness of the panel. Once the marker disappears or the correct temperature is reached you can "cool it off" by using water. During the annealing process make sure to take notice of the color or sound the panel is making as this will help you immensely in the future.
