The name "Tall in the Details" is a play on the height of the detailer (6' 8", just so you don't have to ask). I do automotive details designed to match what you are looking for with your vehicle (you want a basic wash, you get a basic wash... wan

t trim restore, we get you trim restore, etc.) I can detail just about any car or truck, but may have limitations for excessively tall or long vehicles as I work out of my home garage. Tall in the Details uses almost exclusively Adam's Polishes, which are very high-end chemicals, towels, and equipment. Detailing is a hobby and side interest, so most detail appointments are weekends and evenings, and depending on level of detail you are requesting, we may require the vehicle for a few days (basic washes are probably 30-60 minutes, a full graphene ceramic coating with all necessary steps will generally take 2-3 days, any trim restore projects will take at least two days due to set time). I am not able to do mobile detailing, so all vehicles must be dropped off at my house in Longmont. I can help arrange vehicle delivery or transportation if needed, just let me know. In general, I use detailing as a way of supporting non-profit fundraisers I'm engaged with. Currently I am doing a fundraiser for the New York Marathon in 2022 with ASPCA, as well as the annual National MS Society Bike MS Event. I generally donate a large percentage of the proceeds to these fundraisers and ask me if you'd like to make donations to these fundraisers directly as a percentage of the payment.

Thinking of doing a back to school, assembly line style, basic car wash this coming Sunday if the weather holds up. Just basic washes - no polishing, no waxing, but a good quality wash and towel dry so you can show up to school with minimal embarrassment… at least from your car. $40 exterior only, $75 and I’ll do a basic interior clean as well (you can donate more if you’d like but this would be the minimum). You’d have to bring it to my house but it’d only be about 45 minutes if exterior only, so you could hang out, shoot the breeze, pet the dog, whatever.

P.S. Just to clarify a "basic wash" is probably a misleading term. My interpretation of "basic wash" still means pressure washing to remove any debris, applying a ph-neutral car shampoo with foam cannon, scrubbing with microfiber sponge using two-bucket method, rinse, towel dry, and exterior glass cleaned. It just doesn't include things like advanced bug removal, specific wheel and tire cleaning, polishing, scratch removal, or application of wax.

Would be interested to hear from some Tall in the Details clients about if you have used the website or if you were even aware of it. It's a pretty basic website with just some basic details on what is charged for details, some pics/videos from past details and so forth but I haven't updated it much... and the cost for hosting it/software to code it keeps going up to the point I am debating if its worth it to even keep it up.
It is currently written in Wordpress but I have had some bugs with wordpress to where I'm no longer able to update it properly, but either way I'd have to be paying for hosting.

I know I've been hard to schedule with lately... was out of town for several weeks on vacation and was pretty busy with other things leading up to that. I'm getting back on track so if you're car is in need of a detail, let me know and we'll try to make it happen! I have never liked seeing stickers on the paint of cars. Windows? Sure. Those can scrape off easy. Paint? It’s pretty much going to end one of two ways… the sticker stays on the car until the car dies, or at some point you will end up having to pay someone to remove them properly… and even when done properly, there’s always risk of paint damage, different shading of paint behind the sticker, etc.
As a detailer, I like a good challenge, and I like getting paid to remove them. So, stick as many stickers as you want on there!

With warmer weather upon us and no hard freezes expected... Tall in the Details is back in detailing action! This year I'll be doing donations largely by donation to National MS Society as part of the Bike MS Arizona event with Team Meat Fight November 7-8. ..And to kick it off, we've got our first detail by donation done today with a repeat neighbor!
