There is something mystical about the ring of the hammer, a feeling of unbridled power as steel yields in a bender, something mesmerizing in a puddle of molten metal under a TIG torch, a feeling of rebirth when a pile of parts is combined into a fire breathing chariot that strikes fear into the hearts of those that view a vehicle as mere conveyance... to me, it all boils down to creating a mechanical "spirit" from a pile of soulless parts. As they say, it's not the destination, it's the journey...
