Customer: I don't know why the car is squeaking. Me: might have something to do with these brakes...

Folks, Toyotas are reliable but brakes don't last forever. Bring your vehicle in for a routine maintenance and our technician will perform a complementary visual inspection. A major safety issue like this would have been discovered and addressed much sooner. I am just surprised this car managed to stay on the road as long as it did.

Back in November we posted that we had rescued a kitten who’d been trapped in the dashboard of a car. We got a phone call today from Valley Humane Society, and Dash has been adopted!!

Add cat rescuers to our list of services.

This morning, we got a call from a lady saying she had a kitten stuck in her dashboard. Yesterday, they were loading stuff in the car and left the doors open for half an hour or so. Once they started driving, they heard a meow. They traced the meowing to the dashboard. She left open cans of cat food in the car last night hoping the kitten would come out on its own. But the kitten was stuck in the same spot this morning. The fire department was called and told her they could get the cat, but would destroy the dashboard in the process. The dealership shop Forman told her he “didn’t want to get scratched” and wanted nothing to do with it.

At first glance, we could see the kitten, but he was behind an airbag, wiring, support beams, and air ducting. There was no way to get the cat out without disassembling the dash, or so we thought. But great minds, when combined, and on a mission can accomplish anything. With some compressed air, a chicken drumstick, bare hands, and will power...we got a very scared kitten out from the dashboard.

The kitten is now at Valley Humane Society and is being taken care of.
