Happy Labor Day from all of us at Gagnon's!

The phone gets answered before eight. An estimate gets written between two other jobs, a part gets chased down that was supposed to show up Tuesday, and somebody backs a trailer into a spot with two inches to spare.

From the techs and the team at the parts counter to the person who grabbed the phone on the second ring and whoever stayed late on a Friday to get a boat out the door, our employees worked hard through the busy stretch so no one had to wait any longer than necessary to get their boat back in the water.

Thanks to the crew for that, and thanks to you for keeping them busy.

Before you head out on Wilson Lake this weekend, take a look at your stern light.

Attwood lenses can crack and fill with water over a season without anybody noticing, and you don’t want to find out about it on the ride home in the dark.

Stop by 197 Park Street. We keep bulbs and lenses on the shelf, and we'll swap one while you wait. If it's the wiring, that's a bay job and we'll get you on the schedule.

Labor Day weekend is the last loud weekend of the year on Androscoggin Lake.

After that, the ramps clear out, but the water's still warm enough to swim off the platform. We keep our own boats in until the middle of October.
