You just never know what you might find when you get into a job. This one was an engine oil cooler housing leaking. After removing the upper intake the technician so what looked like mice were making a nest. Luckily they didn’t have a chance to chew on any wires.
We do see this quite often.

Sometimes the owner has to fix his vehicle too. And at 220k miles I don’t like the cost of new vehicles either. Todays ...

Sometimes the owner has to fix his vehicle too. And at 220k miles I don’t like the cost of new vehicles either. Todays vehicles running synthetic fluids, computers managing the engine and other systems these vehicles will go 300 - 400k miles if you stay up on maintenance

I was underneath a Ford Ranger 4X4 that came in for a Transfer case issue.
The issue was a bad transfer case motor.
But while I was underneath the vehicle I happened to notice that the upper and lower ball joints were in really bad shape. We notified the customer that we found these other issues and told him he should address these in the near future.

We want our customers to be safe on the road . And as long as they know about these issues they can make their decision on whether to fix it now or later . Of course having the funds to fix it now or later and the safety affects their decision.
We do more than just transmission repairs always have and always will.

Customer brought us his supercharged 2005 Mustang GT that they couldn’t figure out why the transmission kept throwing a pressure solenoid code on a recent rebuild from another shop.
We inspected the wires going to the transmission solenoid pack closely all looked good.
Then after a close inspection of the recently replaced solenoid pack we found a broken off terminal.
Because the pack had been recently replaced they didn’t think there was an issue with it.
The white arrow shows the broken off terminal.
I have seen this before that is why I caught it so quickly.
