🚘 Not All PPF & Tint Shops Are the Same

When comparing shops, price is important—but it shouldn’t be the only thing you consider. The quality of the materials and installation will determine how your vehicle looks today and how well it is protected for years to come.

Here are some important things to look for:

✅ QUALITY MATERIALS
Ask what brands and specific products the shop uses. Professional-grade PPF and window film should have a manufacturer-backed warranty—not just a promise from the installer.

✅ EXPERIENCED INSTALLERS
PPF and tint installation require patience, training and attention to detail. Ask how long the shop has been installing these products and look closely at examples of completed work.

✅ PROPER VEHICLE PREPARATION
Great results begin with a clean surface. The vehicle should be thoroughly washed, decontaminated and properly prepared before installation. Installing film over dirt or contamination can affect both appearance and adhesion.

✅ CLEAN INSTALLATION ENVIRONMENT
PPF and tint should be installed in a clean, controlled indoor space. Dust, hair and debris can become trapped beneath the film and permanently affect the finished result.

✅ COVERAGE AND FINISHING DETAILS

✅ KNOW WHO IS WORKING ON YOUR VEHICLE
Take time to learn about the shop owner and installers. How long have they been in the automotive industry? How much experience do they have specifically with PPF and window tint? Have they completed manufacturer training or professional certifications?

A trustworthy shop should be open about who owns the business, who will perform the installation and whether the work is completed by trained employees or outsourced to someone else.

Also consider the shop’s history in the community, customer reviews, completed-work portfolio and whether it operates as a properly registered and insured business. Certifications are valuable, but consistent workmanship, honesty and a proven reputation matter just as much.

You’re trusting the shop with your vehicle, keys and personal property. You deserve to know who is handling it and whether they will still be there to support you if a problem develops later.

🚩 Be cautious of unusually low prices, unknown film brands, vague warranties or a shop that won’t show you its previous work. Fixing a poor installation often costs more than having it done correctly the first time.

Here's the finished product. 2026 Subaru Outback Wilderness protected from top to bottom, front to back.
We installed LLumar Valor PPF on the hood, headlights, fog lights, front bumper, fenders, A-pillars and roof. We then added a custom cut hood decal in 3M Matte Black PWF. Next we tinted the front two side windows using LLumar IRX Ceramic Window Tint.
Once we were done, Clover Auto Spa came in and polished the remaining surfaces and ceramic coated the entire vehicle including all of the plastic trim pieces.

This one is ready for many miles of worry free travel.

Progress update on our latest project. This 2026 Subaru Outback just received a full front PPF package and a Wear and Tear package in LLumar Valor. This package covers the following areas:
- Full Hood
- Full Front Fenders
- Headlights
- Bumper
- Foglights
- A-pillars
- Above the windshield
- Door cups
- Door sills

For the best protection all of our edges are wrapped and then heat sealed.

To finish off this project we will be tinting the front two side windows, installing a custom cut center hood decal and ceramic coating the entire vehicle.

We installed LLumar IRX 5% on all of the back windows and 15% on the front two.
