This page is a part of https://www.facebook.com/NorthGeorgiaWeather/, DaculaWeather.com and wx.NorthGeorgiaWX.com First, I'm an autocrosser as all of you. I've been doing autocross since 1973 when I arrived at college in my new 1973 Trans Am and it's been downhill ever since. :-) I currently drive the "Jeep" in EM, and even though it wasn't working this year, it will be back next year. As some of
you know, I've tried various ways to provide weather during the Nationals for the last 3-4 years, but I needed a better way to reach people when the weather gets angry like it did on the last day of competition this year. So I've created this page, and I think this will be the easiest and best way to provide weather for the Nationals. As everyone already knows, the weather conditions are of the utmost importance for all the competitors at Lincoln, so knowing what the weather is going to do plays a big part in everyone's preparation. Weather is my main hobby (besides autocross) and is something I've loved since I was a kid. My interest has grown to what sometimes feels like a full time job. I have extensive weather resources at my finger tips, and in addition to this page, I also have three other pages/sites I use for weather. I have my North Georgia Weather page, my main site .com and my blog .com. Right now I have almost 12,5000 followers on the NGW page... must be doing something right! :-)
I have been a SKYWarn Severe Weather Spotter for years and I have been granted access to the National Weather Service's NWSChat. From there, I can speak directly with meteorologist at any NWS office around the country if there are questions or concerns. I have also been selected by NOAA as a NOAA Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador. The job of the WRN Ambassadors is to help spread the word about weather and to help keep the public informed and educated, and I was very pleased to be accepted.
