I wanted to take a moment and thank everyone that came out to the video game tournament this past Saturday. We ended up with a pretty good turnout and I think everyone had a lot of fun. We had great weather and an even better event. Also, a special thank you to all the people that helped out that day. All the employees from Barry Electronics came to work on their day off to help out. We had my Niece Brandi Contini - Barry who came up from Columbus to help out my lovely wife Christy with registration. Scott's wife Ang helped out with the food and many others. Mega Replay Lima sent over Ian and Adam who were AWESOME!! They ran the games in the theater rooms and made sure everything ran smoothly. Especially thank you to all our sponsors, Sky Zone Lima, Mega Replay Lima, Cartridge Gaming, Frickers Lima, Regal American Mall 12, Sara's Sweets, Alter Ego Comics, KICKER, Clay Cards, Bounce off Inflatables, By Designs, and The Met. Together, we raised over $1400 to donate to the Lima Police Department's DARE and Safety City Sponsored By Lima Noon Optimist programs. And finally, Congratulations to all the winners. It takes an enormous amount of talent to win with this kind of competition. "See Dad, playing video games did pay off!" I especially wanted to congratulate our two special trophies for last place in Smash and the most Enthusiastic players. These are the future generation of gamers and by coming together as a community and making this a great and fun event, we will hopefully have many more years of these in the future. Finally, I'd love for everyone to repost this and pass this along. Together, we have done something great for the community while having fun and more people need to see the positivity of this. Just wanted to reach out and tell everybody that today is the last day to preregister for the Video Game Tournament. You will still be able to walk in and sign up next Saturday April 25th to play. At this point or then, we cannot guarantee that you will get one of the event t-shirts. We did order extras and we will do our best to get you one. We have over 60 people signed up to play and it looks like it will be a good time! We will have the Axe Throwing here as well as old school Halo and Mario Kart Double Dash for people to play as well as the Centipede contest. Thanks for everyone who signed up. You will be getting a call this week to get you your play times so answer the phone calls! We look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday starting at 9:00.

Our friends and cosponsors of the upcoming Video Game Tournament on April 25th Regal American Mall 12 just gave us their prize donations. These are from the new Super Mario Movie that is playing there now! It is a Yoshi Popcorn tub and a limited edition light up star from the movie that was only distributed to theaters. Pretty awesome! There's still time to sign up to play. We have submitted our T-shirt order and we did order extras, but at this point forward, anyone that signs up will not be guaranteed a T-shirt. So every time we have one of these tournaments, we always have a few people that show up and are super excited and have a ton of fun. So this year, we have decided to get a trophy made and give it away to the most enthusiastic person to come out! So, sign up to play. This weekend is the last weekend to sign up to guarantee an event T-shirt. Our order goes in on Monday. We will be ordering extras, so there will be some for everyone that signs up after this weekend or walks in that day.
