Bloom Recovery Network 72hr DIP, in-house programming for Allen Co IPS Dept, Couples, Training and Co Kelly created Branches (non-profit 501 C3) as a sister agency to Bloom.

Kelly Burden MSCJ, LICDC, Owner and AoD Program Director has over 20yrs history working in both inpatient and outpatient settings (including Halfway Houses and CBCFs) in treating a diverse client population, including women in crisis, delinquent teens, adult male and female justice involved individuals as well as families. Bloom offers an OHMAS Certified 72 Hour Driver’s Intervention Program that

comes highly referred by local courts. They have three program locations but are currently only serving the Lima community. Kelly remains committed to providing evidence based programming by trained facilitators, screenings and small group sessions by certified or licensed counselors, impactful guest speakers, adherence to program rules, and timely reporting to our referral sources. The 2 point Adult Remedial/Defensive Driving Course is offered during DIP weekends through Bloom 2. Beyond the Driver’s Intervention Program, Bloom offers programming supported by a grant awarded through the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections. All programming meets the University of Cincinnati’s best practices philosophies for this population and supports BCS compliance for Allen Co IPS Dept. Bloom only provides programming to Allen County offenders on Intensive Probation Supervision or Parole and their families. Kelly is involved in Allen Co Tx Specialty Dockets and offers case management and crisis intervention services for individuals in Reentry Court (where she is an active team member). Kelly also provides Quality Assurance, training and coaching to IPS probation officers. Through Branches, Kelly hopes to expand family and couples work, create prevention services (fill gaps in community not being met) with at risk youth, create employment opportunities for the justice involved individuals, etc. Current efforts surround Pretrial Reform (with support from the ACLU and PJI) and capitalizing on a partnership with the Free Billy movement.

We are also pleased to partner with The Center for Peace and Reconciliation to provide an Addictions/Anti-Stigma Training on Monday, December 9, 6-9 p.m.

During the three-hour training called Responding to Addiction (R2A), participants will learn:
1) the latest in science and advancement to address addiction, including how to identify signs and symptoms;
2) how to respond to someone in crisis;
3) how to help an individual in need of support, including evidence-based treatment options and medications to treat addiction;
4) the effects of stigma on individuals and families;
5) self-care and personal boundaries (*enCompass specific).

This training is ideal for caregivers of individuals with a substance use disorder, clergy, law enforcement, first responders, healthcare providers, employers, educators, community-based service providers, etc.
