G O O D B Y E

It’s a bittersweet moment, filled with a mix of gratitude and sadness. This place has been more than just a job, it’s been a home, a gathering spot, and a part of our story for so many years. Every corner holds memories of hard work, laughter, and the bonds we've built with our amazing customers and community.

To everyone who walked through these doors, supported us, and believed in what we were doing, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. This chapter may be closing, but the love and memories we've shared will last forever. While it's the end of one journey, it's also the beginning of new adventures. Here’s to the past, the present, and the future. To all the people who made this journey so special. You will always be part of our story.

It was our pleasure to be your automobile repair service center over the years. New owner will take over the middle of January and the new name will be Cherokee Automotove LLC. After serving the Liberty Community and surrounding area D&S Automotive, Inc. will be closing its doors on December 31, 2024. It has been a pleasure serving the liberty and surrounding areas the past 40 plus years. We have made so many friends and we will greatly miss each and everyone of you.

Just want to thank our customers this week who were understanding of our circumstances this week. Our computer was compromised Monday by hackers and I made more trips to the bank to get accounts closed and reopened then I can count. Had to have our computer wiped. It was a very stressful week and I am very glad we have such understanding customers!! You all ROCK!!

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Liberty Fire Department and his family 🙏🏻

The Liberty Fire Department and the Sanneman family invite the public to join them in honoring the life of Firefighter / Paramedic Steve Sanneman with visitation on Friday, July 12 and funeral services on Saturday, July 13.
Sanneman, a 20-year veteran of the Liberty Fire Department, passed away at home on Sunday, July 7 after a five-week battle with pancreatic cancer. His diagnosis was determined to be caused as a result of his profession and is recognized as a line of duty death.
“This week, our entire department has faced the reality of what it means to live in service to our community,” said Fire Chief John Mills. “The fire service builds the bonds of family unlike any other profession and I am immensely proud of the strength and unity our department has shown as we mourn the loss of one of our own.”
Outside of his service to the Liberty Fire Department, Steve was dedicated to providing peer support counseling, specifically focusing on PTSD in first responders. He had a heart to care for others, which is obvious in his choice of career and in his dedication to his peers.
“Steve absolutely loved being a firefighter and paramedic, and was a role model to many in the Fire Department,” said City Administrator Curt Wenson. “He was always professional and always sincere; we will miss seeing his genuine smile and signature handlebar mustache.”
Visitation and Funeral Service Details:
Visitation – Friday, July 12, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 1600 Route 291, Liberty, MO 64068
Funeral Service – Saturday, July 13 at 9 a.m. at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 1600 Route 291, Liberty, MO 64068
Funeral Procession – After the service, the funeral procession will leave Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, drive past Fire Station 3, where Sanneman was stationed, and on to New Hope Cemetery in Liberty.
A map of the funeral procession, including any associated road closures, will be available on Thursday.
