Trying to get settled in after the move. Work hours are long leaving little time for my side jobs. But, here's the 1st step of repairing the wife's car after some IDIOT ran over it in the Neighborhood Walmart parking lot back in March.
Once the garage is situated, I've got to put her old hood back on temporarily while I repair the fiberglass one. Once it's ready, I'll send the hood, bumper & fender to paint. I'll install all the parts after that.

It's been a rough several months. We sold our old house, moved, had to get a new garage built AND we're trying to get unpacked/settled into the new house & location. We're not up for install or build business at this time. But we're always available for sales.

I haven't been on Fakebook in quite a while. I've been busy trying to finish projects & work is draining the brain on a regular basis. 😂

I have really great news.

As of Friday, December 6th West Built Rides LLC has signed on with a distributor in GA that has provided me with a sales license for not only more home AV equipment.... but we've finally got Rockford Fosgate through distribution!!!!

This doesn't get me as good of pricing as a direct dealer license would. BUT, going through the distribution allows for no overhead, no expensive buy-ins & no high cost storefront. We do require a 50% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit on ALL orders. This is the best way to keep equipment prices down & not have to worry about moving inventory.

First, let me say a heartfelt thank you to Chris Dixon . If not for your help, I would've never met my goal. Thank you for everything you did!!!
So, I gave myself 30 days for it to be in & functional... I met my deadline. When I give a deadline, I'm not joking. Ain't no playing around, even with the weekends of rain & losing the long Memorial Day weekend to weather, I hit my goal.
So, here it is...
My Magnum Opus...
The stereo I've been wanting to attempt but didn't have the guts. I had originally planned for 8 but 2 have been on backorder for over a month & I had to get it done... deadlines.
6- DB Drive DVC 4 ohm 6.5" WDX G4s on 2400 watts wired series/parallel to 1.3 ohms.
Quick connects on the tonneau with Anderson plugs on the 0 gauge power/ground & the 8 gauge speaker wires.
But, this is only installed & functional.
Remember, if you're looking for equipment give West Built Rides a shout. I'll do my absolute best to save you as much of your hard earned cash as possible. If you're looking for just a couple subs in your trunk, it's cheaper to BUY a box than for me to BUILD the box. If you're looking for CUSTOM enclosures, never forget, good work ain't cheap & cheap work ain't good.

I was aggravated at a few things. But with the support of my wife, & some TRUE friends, we're still going strong & plan to be for the foreseeable future. If it's 2 customers a year or 2 a week. We'll do what we do & have the best looking lighting on the roads.

Just put these in Saturday.
Shuriken AGM batteries.
Designed for high wattage stereo systems. They're supposed to have less voltage draw, faster recharge AND longer lifespan... they'd better after what they costed.
Since I've upgraded my electrical system & added an insanely high output alternator (again, a HUGE thank you to Toby Bivens & Bivens' Alternators of Lexington), it was time to go with high end batteries.
The 1250 amp hour replaced the factory battery under the hood while the 1800 went to replacing the secondary source. AGM batteries have their pros & cons like everything else. Pro- slower discharge, con- it's a lot heavier. Pro- no chemicals or battery acid, con- more expensive. There's a trade off for everything, but this is something I've been asked about. So, how can I sell something if I'm not using it myself?
I will be checking the voltage periodically so I can make an educated opinion. Time will tell if it's worth it or not.
As of Saturday, here's the volt meter readings:
Resting voltage (car off): 13.2v
Idle voltage: 14.6v
Stereo to 15% @ idle: 14.4v
Stereo to 30% @ idle: 14.2v
Stereo to 50% @ idle: 13.9v

If it stays like this, I'd highly recommend them. We'll see in a couple weeks.
