Fitting 35s on a Tacoma takes more than just hoping they clear.

This one got the Oversized tire fitment kit to make room the right way. Clean fitment, more tire, and a setup that actually works.

Be honest… 33s or 35s on a Tacoma?

What’s the most overlooked thing people forget to check before a weekend trail ride?

Everybody remembers the cooler. Most people remember the recovery gear. Some people even remember to air down.

But the stuff that ruins a weekend is usually boring.

Loose battery terminals. Low tire pressure. Dead radios. Bad wiring. A spare tire that hasn’t seen daylight in way too long. Recovery gear buried under chairs, tools, firewood, and regret.

So let’s hear it.

What’s the one thing people should check before heading out this weekend?

What’s the most overrated recovery product in off-roading? And don’t say “none of it.” 😂 What’s the one recovery item every rig should have no matter what? Curious what everybody says on this one. I’ve got opinions.

What matters most in your camp setup: fast setup, organization, comfort, or storage?

We see a lot of people build a setup based on what looks cool online, then after a few trips realize it doesn’t really fit how they camp. The best setup is the one that makes getting outside easier for you. Better organization, faster setup, room for the gear (and dog) that actually comes with you. That’s why we spend more time talking through how you actually use your rig instead of just throwing parts at it.

What’s one price of recovery gear you won’t leave home without?

Recovery gear isn’t really something you want to figure out for the first time when you’re already stuck.

That’s why we carry Factor 55.

FlatLinks, UltraHooks, soft shackles, tree savers, sn**ch blocks, traction boards, gloves… it all has a place, but it needs to work together as a system. Your gear should match your vehicle, how heavy it is, where you’re using it, and what kind of recovery you may actually run into.

We’re not big fans of just tossing random recovery gear in the back and calling it good.

If you’re building out your recovery kit, stop by CW4x4. We’ll help you put together something that actually makes sense before you need it.

More gear doesn’t always mean more prepared.
Sometimes it just means more weight, more wiring, more failure points, and more stuff to dig through when something stops working.
A good build isn’t about having every accessory bolted to the vehicle. It’s about making sure the whole setup actually works for how you travel.
Does the suspension match the weight?
Is the wiring clean and serviceable?
Can you get to your recovery gear when you need it?
Do you know what problem the next upgrade is actually solving?
That’s the stuff that matters.
Before you add more gear, ask yourself:
What problem am I trying to solve?
That one question can save you a lot of money, frustration, and trail-side headaches.
What’s one piece of gear you bought that you barely use now?

We don’t just sell Motobilt. We run it.
CW4x4 is officially a Motobilt dealer, and this one makes a lot of sense for us. My JK is built almost entirely with Motobilt parts, so this isn’t a brand we picked up because it looked good on paper.
We’ve used it.
We’ve beat on it.
We know why it works.
Motobilt builds the kind of armor, bumpers, skids, and builder parts that make sense when your Jeep actually sees trail time.
If you’re looking to build your Jeep with parts that are made to be used, let’s talk through what setup makes sense for your rig.
What would you upgrade first: bumpers, skids, rockers, or fenders?
