This Sunday Little Elm is hosting an Ironman competition with the swimming portion being held just north of the West Eldorado Parkway. As part of this the Little Elm Boat Ramp and Beach will be closed until 11am.

NOTICE TO BOATERS Please avoid the area north of West Eldorado Parkway on Lewisville Lake on Sunday, March 15. The Town of Little Elm will be hosting the IRONMAN 70.3 Dallas-Little Elm. The denoted area in red is where the swim course will be for the event.

is something we take very seriously. Every new captain, deckhand, and diver are put through a rigorous onboarding process and training before they ever do their first job. Once fully onboarded the training never stops with additional specialized training along with yearly refreshers.

This is a throwback to last year when a brand new boat sank in the middle of the tree field. Fortunately a Good Samaritan was close by and rescued the passengers from the water and no one was injured.

We cover more than 100 sq miles of water so knowing where our customers are and locating them quickly is important. We recently started using our new Computer Aided Dispatch system with integrated mapping. We get GPS locations from various sources and when we put the call into the system the responding captain can see the customer location on their phone or tablet. This is from a call yesterday. The blue arrow is our Towboat on the way to the customer. When the captain clicks on the customer location it displays their name and a description of the boat we are looking for. We also have common locations so if someone calls and says they are in Nix Slough on Lake Lewisville every dispatcher and captain will know exactly where that is. The first person to correctly respond with the location of Nix Slough on Lake Lewisville will receive a free one year TowBoatUS Unlimited Inland towing membership.

We are incredibly excited to announce we now have a TowBoat based out of Safe Harbor Pier 121. This is in addition to our existing services based out of Eagle Point Marina. We will do our best to dispatch the closest vessel depending on vessel and crew availability.
