*** I just had my oil changed, were you digging around in my glove box??? Why YES we were!

But maybe not for the reason you’re thinking…

What we see here is a classic example of Hilton’s FINEST Mouse Motel. This “Members Only” retreat is complete with the latest furnishings and built on the luxurious soft cabin air filter foundation…. Most modern vehicles are equipped with a “Cabin Air Filter”. These filters clean up the air you breathe inside the car. A majority of these filters are accessed BEHIND your glove box typically requiring the glove box/door to be lowered or removed. While it may seem extensive, this inspection is usually pretty quick. The photo below is the perfect example of why it’s important to check this filter EVERY TIME a vehicle is in for service!!

This video is so satisfying! There’s a myth that if your “tire” leaks air, it needs to be replaced… While that can be true, many times the air leak can be found and fixed! The video shows a very common area that causes leaks in our climate and a relatively simple repair! Other common leaks come from punctures. Many punctures can be safely repaired, with long-term success, preventing you from replacing your tires before it’s necessary! So remember, if your tire is leaking, it doesn’t mean your tires are bad! Most leaks can be fixed!

What’s a cabin air filter and why do you check it each time I have my vehicle serviced? Here’s a couple examples of why these filters get checked! 🐭 🐭
A cabin air filter - filters the breathing air inside your car. Coincidentally, it’s also one of the most cozy places to find a mouse-motel. Critters seem to love cabin filters and engine filters. Many times the filters are plugged with nests, food, or are chewed through! Regardless of what happens, it’s not really the air quality I’d want to breathe!
